I like 1.4 all the way, and the jumping sure isn't ass bad as everybody tells ya. only if you jump in the middle of an open area does it really do smthing, jumping on crates and stuff goes just fine

If I wanted extreme realism I'd just play OFP or something... I want the old CS back.. The new one was so screwed up I had to reinstall Half Life and everything too... A real pain in the butt.. Though I agree with the jumping, only thant it should kick in after your second jump or something.. BTW 1.4 is really buggy!

btw I don't think the gameplay has slowed down that much.

I played "de_chateau" and it went really fast, faster then I was used to play in 1.3



perhaps some maps will have to change over Time because they give a to big advantage to snipers, but I haven't had a problem with the awp yet.

Those who say jumping doesnt affect the game... I can say with certainty you didn't exactly reach the pinnacle of 1.3 mastery. Jumping, yet still having the SKILL to aim (with a pistol because they were basically 100% accurate) at the opponents head is what it was all about. Fixing the jumping now would be pointless, unless there was also a return to 1.3 pistol accuracy.



I'm glad there are few who support the insanely slow walk speed. And since when is tapping forward a "cheat" or "exploit" when it is OBVIOUSLY available to EVERYONE.



Obviously the cs team (and about half of the cs players) have a different idea of what cs should be. It's not my place to decide, only submit an opinion. CS is no longer the game for me.

Because of the inability to jump around quickly, many of the weapons have become almost useless. For example: the pump shotgun. Because of it's inabilty to fire multiple shells at once, you are left vulnerable to enemy fire and can't do anything about it. At least before the jumping change, you could hop around and hope not to get killed, but now it's just rediculous.

2 of my first 5 kills in 1.4 where with that shotgun :-)

I also agree on this. Very bad idea to remove being able to move while planting the bomb. Not very realistic and I think Valve made a bad move here.
