Gpig20 - I don't think there is a text muter yet, but there might be a way, there's a cvar which sets how long text stays on screen maybe it could be set to a really low setting so you'll still get chat but it'll only bother you for a second... anyone know if this will casue any problems?



The cvar is hud_saytext_time and is usually 5, try entering some lower values



Anyway, even if it doesn't, i think they're adding text muting to CS 1.4 so just hold out till then :-p

hud_saytext_time 0 makes it so no text is displayed. Thats what he wants.

now not only can they ruin our game by seing us through walls and killing us with aimbot, but they can fucking change the map whenever they want, and kick who ever the fuck they want to kick, and the people that should be kicked are the people controlling the fucking server.

so i got a message for the people that make the ogc program.

hmmm another possibility is to

have admin mod installed ,but not any users set.

Every command is performed with rcon.

eg rcon admin_command admin_csay fuck ogc suck0rs



only problem is the long command string.

Get one of the configs and have a look, they check for many different cheats in many different locations. It also checks for cvars (not relevant to OGC) still as well.

But most importantly, the latest version prevents Aimbots and Wallhacks working properly across the board. Check it out here: olo.counter-strike.pl/

Its easy to protect yourself. Using admin_password in console (like rcon_password) is ten times as secure as it isn't stored in any text files. There was a post about how someone else was hacking passwords so Admin Mod's creators added this new command to stop it. It should work for OGC too.

You know what valve should do? Read Vasily's article, talk to him a bit, and lock the side-client thing.........Lock all modifications that happens on the client's comp and cheating won't ever happen. Of course, that's going to be hacked, but at least you've stopped about 90% of the cheaters out there!

Anyways, about all this thing over the OGC 7.4, I used to at least try to consider the hacks a game of cat and mouse between the hackers, admins, and cheaters. Now the hackers have given the cheaters the ability to become the admins. The game is no longer interesting. You'll see me puttering away in my clan's server from now on, just wondering whether all these good players are really good or hacking "to level the playing field." I've thought of doing so, as I'm sure most of you have. The reason I haven't is because of the respect that I give my clan and myself. I want my accomplishments to be worth something.
