That's right WURUM... I'm not sure about the console comment but my brothers (12,11) usally play a new game for half an hour, get whooped up and instead of playing again to develop some skills, just get some cheats... it's really sickening to watch, and knowing that as soon as they discover counter-strike (they will) that they are going to be the next wave of cheaters...



I reackon it's got something to do with thier amazingly short attention spans at that age, who knows but it's really damn stupid.

Short attention spans? Yes, I'd agree with that, but I'd say it's fueled by a desire for gratification with minimal effort. They don't want to go through with the time and effort it takes to beat a game normally, so they take the easy route, cheat, and instead recieve what's arguably the lesser gratification. I would also say that this low-effort self-gratification tendency is a huge driving force in today's youth culture. People don't see the value in working for something, only the value of the results.

Please note, that wasn't intended to be my complete theory on why people cheat. That's a whole other bag of worms.



BTW...

He doesn't even want to have the satisfaction of knowing that he defeated the game the way the authors intended.

I agree that we need new blood in CS. And how do we expect people to get better if we don't help them?



The thing that winds me up is people bitching about the maps. WTF is wrong with survivor? It has a better gameplay than "rush and die" dust. And why dont people like storm?



The mappers work hard to produce new maps for us, and they get slagged of for it.



Peoples attitudes towards each other in CS stink. If we want to make the community and the game better, thats what we need to change, peoples attitude toward each other.



If a "n00b" gets ripped on a server, he will either a) leave the game, b) get better and start kicking arse, or c) go and get some hacks.



So instead of slagging off "n00bs", help 'em

The one thing I hate is when a haXor comes in and starts ripping everyone new arse holes and then he gets called a cheater of course and comes in with the line that "I've been playing since Beta 1." If I had a quarter everytime I've seen someone say that who is 35-0 with 35 headshots I could have bought me a new comp by now. And yes, I've cut down my CSing greatly over the past few months as I am constantly looking for new servers that are good and haXor free.

The main reason cs has lost much is:

CHEATERS, They have to go, I relise that getting rith of every cheater is a big problem, so I look forward to see valve's anticheat, and if it works...



Noobs is kinda good time for better players to teach something to them, that more people have gotten interrest in the game is nice..



The Sig Sniperrifle was a big mistake in adding...

I remember the time when the m4 had a scope, but that makes it too powerful...

I think cs needs more cs_maps, and no more de_maps... cs_maps are more challenging, and requiers teamplay on both sides...

I agree with that point, correct me if I'm wrong but the only new official maps for awhile have been de maps. Two of my personal favorites are cs maps, cs_assault and cs_italy.



Also it is true that alot of teens who are basicly comp illiterite (sure they could use a computer with newest version of windows but they don't know whats going on) they see a cs retail box stupidly buy it (if they know whats going on they'ed get HL which would give them sp and all the mods they want) they suck and then they get all mad and pick-an-peck in the worst search engine in the world c-h-e-t (they also suck @ spelling worse than us) and the manage after deleting it 5 times to start there OCG and then get kicked.

Some people like the way that the CS team changes CS to bring in new content....some people dispise it (like me). Add: Jumping gone in 1.4? Bye bye cs.... Anyways, its obvious what the problem is in CS right now.

Im very exciting to see how 1.4 will turn out .. if the cheats should be lowered, then I think people will see past the lame jumping-add .. if the cheats still should take place, oh well .. figure it out ..



#1 problem in CS is h4x0r, yep .. if Valve would just have done something about the problem sooner, it might not have looked like this today .. and I doubt it will be fixed in 1.4, building a perfect anti-cheat on that old engine .. auch ? :> ..



#2 all the f*cking bugs, excuse my langauge, but the game soon hits final version 1.4 .. if I had bought the retail, I would really feel stupid, like buying a demo that is being developed, with the bugs and possible that the gameplay would be altered drastic .. might as well give us a Rocket Launcher and Tripmines etc. - Im sure the n00bs wouldn't mind .. they move along to the next popular game anyway, when they have killed the other one ..



#3 n00bs .. plz, don't play the game just to play it (because everyone else does), play it to have fun .. go play monopoly or something ..



#4 netcode .. plain and simple .. it sucks ..

All you might or may not think that cs is getting boring...too many newbies...or too many cheaters which there is.I dont get how they think you lose skill.I say skill grows more then they think newbies will get better playing with other newbies and those newbies will match up with skilled and for some people they just cant play games that deal in the areas of the welly known cs.I've played for 2 years and i out play people that have been playing longer then I have.It is the state of mind strategic ways of gameplay,reaction speed,and to react with what the enemy looks like.And if you think your losing skill get the latest pod bots those things have reaction speed thats unbelievable which will be good for advanced cs players to practice with there reaction and aim.....

Counter-Strike, will always be a cool game to me. I started playing back in the glory days of 1999, December to be exact. Actually, I started playing Half-Life before Counter-Strike was even released. Up to now, I still play CS & will continue doing so with my friends. I like CS, the only thing I don't appreciate are the players who doesnt give a sh*t on someone else. I mean, its very true that there's a lot of newbies who doesn't know the essence of playing CS & this really annoys me. Regarding the weapons, maps & additions.. I think CS makers should make a lot of improvement especially on the maps (new ones), de_dust is my all-time favorite map. Each weapon in CS, in my opinion, is brought to the game for a reason & I don't mind if they bring in new weapons as long as they are cool although I love to stick to the cool/classic weapons in CS like the MP-5, AK-47, M4A1 & AWM. So far, I still believe that CS will continue to entertain gamers/players, may it be classic/cool players (like me), newbies, cheaters or campers. Counter-Strike will forever rule!!!

This is just a name for what the SINGLE PLAYER mode ~might~ be called, CSNation has gone way to fare of calling the actual version of 1.4 <Condition Zero>. Stop being such dumbass's. Hell, back when the colt had a scope, you could also get 200 bullets for it. Those were the damn days. FB's that did some damage. Also, no one uses friendly fire anymore, b/c of the n00b's that don't know how to play with it or TK the whole time. FF is a feature that should be utilized more.
