Think you are very wrong here, u slow down you dont freeze for a full second, thats suicidal you would never jump again, i have tryed the beta cs 1.4 and its not that great, who ever told you that must be a noob. If you want to know a good clan with a nice bunch of blokes and birds come into irc.quakenet.org and room #ukcs_plotz we are CS and RTCW

I agree that organising clan matches and the whole shebang does get tedious, I'm in a clan but we dont play matches, we just play together and have fun - which is what I play cs for

"failing like a Canadian in a game of basketball."

"We invented the game so we are allowed to suck at it."

        True that.

I own a clan, I think that they let all player improve. And you always have some one you know to show off your skill, or just create strats together.

I dont under what the Jumping Problem is, nor did i ever see this problem.

I would like to say that clans are like people, many are out there.

Each has it's own purpose. Their members get what they need out of the clan or they switch to a clan that provides what they need. Prop's to them for that.

I would like to say that most of you guys are rating clans on two

scales; judge clans based on how they treat people, because play enhancement comes from working with any teamplay aware player (most often this is also a clan member, not always true though).

In favor of that, I offer the group I play with =Jackpine Savages= @

llama.visi.com. We have the fastest pinging server in Minnesota and

when we attend tournaments everyone has heard of us. It is not because we are the most skilled clan. In fact we rate only second next to some very skilled independant regulars on our own server. We have respect because, we keep a clean server (lamers,cheaters,anti-socials need not connect) and treat others well.

My clan is a group of guys who all met mainly over the web. Alot of us turned out to be in Minneapolis/St. Paul. I have never called anyone I knew or met over the internet a true friend, but my clan has changed my perspective on this stance.

I have found decent human beings,... who act like it. After Battle.Net and 90 percent of the CS servers in the country, the clan home suprised me by the 'fun' they had. My crew reminds me more of a close football team or basketball team, than the loud obnoxious ego's who scream 'clan x forever, you suck because you're not us'. I think that my clan has kept CS alive for me, even after I would have left the game for many reasons.

I would go to bat in real life for any member of clan =JpS=Jackpine

Savages. I believe that shows the right clan makes CS more enjoyable.

Well, my first comment in this forum.

My oppinion is that Clans are the ppl in them. I am in clan [.Love.] ( www.clanlove.com ) of Iceland(and no, despite common belief we DON´T live in igloos and have polar bears running on hamster wheels to generate electricity)

I have been playing CS for about two years now. I have only been honoured by Two clans. First one was the clan created by my best friend. We wer really not active so when a better connection came running to me (well... i ran to it ) i found myself in a in (almost) completely inactive clan. Being the only active player, i resigned... soon after that the clan collapsed

I went on, pubbi´n like a crazy fool. Thinking this was the time of my life. Then i saw a clan.. Love (sounded gay and silly) player named PlayBoy. I recognized my previous clanmate(whom had quit the old clan to join Love) we started talking and one thing led to another. I was on a mission to join Clan Love. The "trial" period took a gruelling month(felt like minutes whilst playing so much CS) when i finally received the phonecall saying: you are in.

But i´m not gonna blabber all over about my story. I´m getting to the point.

When in Love i noticed ALL of the players were good friends. They greeted me with Loving (no pun intended) arms.

What i´m trying to say here is; Some clans are more than just CS. They are friends that stick together and don´t quit the clan becouse of silly arguments like "that guy is not good enough" and "this guy has an attitude problem"

So the eccence of keeping the clan alive is basically communication.

But well, i Live in Iceland and Love is only resided within a single city. Meetings are regular and morale is good.

                      [.Love.]GarFielD

WELL......I guess i'm in a clan myself so i guess i like clans. Clans arenot that bad, you can play teamwork. Like my cousin and i, when we play together, we're always the TOP players just because of teamwork. And in our clan, it's just FUN, FUN, FUN and not JOB, JOB, JOB. we jut play the game and there is no responsibility. The only thing is the leader, he tells if the person can join the clan or not. So i can say that i do LIKE clans. =)

I have nothin to say about clans...only I have clan and I like so much to play with my clan in CF. It's very cool when you play with your friends CS and a same team. We can do strategy with your group and finish with others guys.....

                            about clans...

here in my 'hood, clans are a good thing. those who belong to one are pretty much the best players here. otherwise, for the rest of us here without clans, it's a nightmare of disorganization. we could lose like 100 rounds and still not get organized. if no one took the role of leader, we'd probably lose another 200 rounds or until the server gets bored of losing and quits.

but personally, not being in a clan has helped me a lot. within a clan, I was always living under the shadow of our MVP. so I left that clan to find my own niche. and I have. now I have a reputation as one of the better CS players in my 'hood.

and I found great CS buddies who I can really share my life with. but we're not in a clan. we're all just a big gang of guys and gals who enjoy playing CS, whether we win or lose. and we can always get organized when we have to. and when playing CS gets monotonous, we can always go play pool or get drunk or smoke or get into boyfriend-girlfriend relationships or pretty much anything under the sun.

but it's all up to the individual. if they can do well without a clan, fine. if it's the other way around, fine too. i find that it's OK as long as being in a clan doesn't eat up your whole [social] life. so choose where you want to be, as long as you enjoy. after all, we're all free to choose... right? ;p

"failing like a Canadian in a basketball game"

                                ........

More like "failing like a Canadian in being successful in life."

"Some idiot stole half my country and called it Canada."

                                Here's an idea.....

HEADLINE: "'Your Momma' Jokes Become Funny! Canadian is used at least once in each joke!!!" HA, Ha, ha....I guess it wasn't as funny as I had planned. Oh well...

Clans are cool...However, I agree that playing in a clan w/ friends is best. OGL sucks, but it is the only way people can have recreational matches! How do us L33T playaz get recongnized? Got responses? Reply!!
