The CS-Nation mailbag is back! This week's topic is: Do you like or dislike clans? Be sure to check it out. It's three pages and is pretty long, next time I'll cut out some of the more boring e-mails so you don't fall asleep at the keyboard.



In other news, I've coded a new spell checker. It's fairly flimsy in design, but it actually checks the spelling of words unlike the last one, which only checked the spelling of numbers.

Hi I go by the name [WOTN]-=XpLoSiV=-.

I've been playing Cs for 6 months now and I have been In around 3 clans that have ended In me leaving In less that 2 weeks In all spells at clans. That lead to a 2 month break from cs and going It alone on Day O Defeat. That lasted 1 month after packing It In.

Now back on CS, I am the founder of [WOTN] Warriors Of The Night.



I think clans play a big roles In online gaming, whether Its the frienship side of It, or money. competetions, leagues, what would games be like with none of this?

I heard that jumping wasn't removed, just that when you jump too much you freeze for a full second. So you can still jump across a entryway... its not too bad, I don't jump too much when playing, I used to - back when the mp5 was much more accurate in the air.



On the clan note, I think clans are great when they are organized and motivated. Match experience elevated my level of playing so much faster than pubs. However, there are a lot of shitty clans out there... that cheat and bitch when they get beat.



Off topic - I think there should be a league a rung below CAL ... because I see a lot of good clans that get stuck in OGL. OGL is just horrible.

I will simply echo that teamwork, rules and friendship is what the clan is all about. A small clan, less than 15 people, is cool. If others want to hang at the server and hope to become part of a clan someday, they can start a community and promote from there.

Clans are good, running a clan although it is just a game teaches you organization skills.

Ive been in 4 clans including the one i am in now. Personally, all the previous 3 have been bad experiences becuase either there were too many ppl or just the fact that i played more then my entire clan combined. I think that there are only 2 good kinds of clans. The kind with like 8 members who are all close friends and dont take it too seriously but still have matches. And the kind like x3 and nip, the super good kickass sons-of-bitches that would own anyone in seconds. I just think, if ur not on a pro level, or u just wanna be in a small clan of close friends, u shouldnt join one. Cuz when they fall apart it makes u wanna stop playing cs, and that just sux :P.

Clans are a great thing for a couple of reasons, first it promotes team play, strategies and social friends with common interests. I mean after all how many public servers can you say I am rescuing hostages cover me and actually have someone help you? CS is for the gaming community which clans are a large part.
