Btw .. realism .. the VIP .. 200 armor? .. with a so 'big' armor/kevlar you should not be able to jump at all .. do you know how much that weight? ..

Just had to register myself as an user and give my oppinion to this whole jumpin jumpin fuzz.



First of all. Counter-strike is not a realistic game, and the sheer amount of games comming out nowadays trying to get as close to counter-strike as possible with their realism, fail because of to much realism, and less fun. Not I didnt enjoy playing Ghost Recon, but its not a game I would continue playing, like counter-strike.



Second. Beeing an oldtimer in the counter-strike scene, I have gone trough every new beta out there, played from the very first one. And every beta in my oppinion have become better (except beta 1.0 which had a little to much riverdancing in it). Sure we all start out thinking, "OMG THIS BETA SUCKS, IM QUITTING THIS GAME" but the majority keeps playing, and finds themselves getting used to the tweaks, weapons, maps and last but not least bugs.



BUT (here comes the really really REALLY exciting part)

Changing the way people move around in the game will destroy a little more than it will help IMO. Not that it wont be funny anymore, but I for one will have a hard time adjusting to it, since I allways jump around, not because it goes any faster, but because its a habbit of mine, just like smoking and eating large amounts of junkfood.

Sure I will get used to it, but its like having sex with a condom. Its not something you enjoy, but its just something you HAVE to do sometimes.

Why the hell did I write counter-strike instead of CS in every goddamn sentence?

yo, lets all get shot 30 times, not die, and call this game realistic, but then hinder our jumping and claim thats our solution, thats ludicrous, counter-strike really isnt taht realistic, if you want realistic, play DoD, where you cant jump and die in one shot, overall.. i tihnk people like unrealistic more, as more people play cs... goooooo cs..... but hey..... maybe 1.4 wont be that bad......... most of the people here havent even played it yet.. whatever everyone is still gonna play what comes out, so lets stop the bitching.

Not being able to jump as much is going to make the game a lot nicer for snipers like me. I feel bad for whoever is going to be at the end of my barrel of my awp in 1.4. :P Anyways guys... The feature I am most looking foward to is the AntiCheat. I write configs for CSGuard and I can say the current engine is too damn limited. I wish they would recode CS: CZ so that it would be able to do alot more. Hell... If I could search for ogc.***.dll... I would be set. But of course. Half Life doesnt support wild cards.
