If HL2 comes out before the 30th, as a thank you and to show support for them actually doing something right, I will buy not 1, but 2 extra copies.

hl2fallout .com believes that hl2 goes gold on the 15th and i believe that hl2 will be released either the 30th or nov 1th around that time.when they finish beta testing and complete counter strike source 100% they will be ready to release a date. i believe valve already has a date of release but hasn't give it to the people.after all hl2 was finished last year but someone hacked the valve server files.its all up to them finishing of counter strike source.people got stupid and believed that hl2 would never be released,of course hl2 is coming out how would valve make a profit retards.valve just had some problems because of certain people.and i believe hl2 will get game of the year.

I should use a smart-ass but wrong comment such as "Not if they use a one time pad, lololol!" or something, but I'm going to be serious here.



I think we're pretty safe. They use very secure public keys, and I'm guessing its probably 128 or 256 bits. Sure, you COULD hack it, in theory, but by the time you're done, Half Life 3 will be out. So unless you have an NP computer, you won't be playing HL2 till it's legally released.



Unless you manage to solve the holy P? = NP Millenium Equation by MIT, (If you did I'd probably be your manslave for life) I really don't think you'll be hacking HL2.

Same here... but I restarted the preload and it's preloading... again.

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid that, but I can be patient. If I can't get it to go, it's not like im missing playing the game.

Sure the passcode's are probably 128 bit encrypted. But considering the pass is probably something nice and redunant like HL2 or Password like it has been in the past ;-p
