Half-Life 2 Preload Round 3

The latest preload for Half-Life 2 has just begun according to a news update at Steampowered.com.

The third phase of the Half-Life 2 preload begins to Steam account holders today.



This will allow users to download the majority of the models of Half-Life 2 in encrypted form. No purchase is required to pre-load Half-Life 2, but is required to activate the game. The moment the game is made available, those who have pre-loaded and purchased Half-Life 2 via Steam will be ready to start playing right away.

Simply restart your Steam client in order to grab the latest content.

hl2 is done. gabe said it was already. they are tuning the engine with the css beta. fyi: lot of spoilers in the latest preload.

Yep, they are in the final stages of Beta testing, supposedly. Which I am actually inclined to believe, since there is a public Beta of the source engine out right now.

Models - done + preloaded



Half Life 2 master given to Viv on the 15th + 2 weeks for them to beta quality test...



Id hazard a guess at roughly one exact month from now we'll the chance to unlock over Steam - 2 days later in the shops.
