CS 1.6: Shield, FAMAS, Galil

And how does the shield affect movement? It'll be weird to see them jump easily off a bridge (in Aztec for example) shoot off an enemy (while strafing + jumping) then just tag the body and start jumping wildly. (dont ask why I thought up of that)

Oh God, why don't they try to balance the weapons they have instead of adding new useless ones like they did before?

OK I think the FAMAS and the Galil sound a little to good. With teh Galil it sounds like it should replace the ak with a more powerful and more acc gun...



Gearbox describes the weapon as like the AK, only heavier and thus more accurate.



The FAMAS is decribed as



It will cost less than the M4A1 and its alternate fire will be burst fire (a three-round burst).



So a gun that is as powerful as the ak and super acc burst mode...



Hmmm so everyone who thinks the ak and m4 own, it will change to the FAMAS and the Galil, and the it will be more pwnage. Other guns wont compare.



Seems like they better find a way to make these guns more "fair"

Heh, the fight in a pub would be funny. They both just stand there. The shield is waiting for the guy to fire off a clip and the guy is waiting for the shield person to lower it so he can dink his head.



The two new rifles of course will be used alot because they're new rifles, all assault rifles are good right now.



I haven't seen new guns added to CS before. I can't wait. Though since the CS community is so fantastic I'm sure I won't hear any whiners about the two new rifles.

I'm looking at the new rifles and all I can say is wow. While the SIG Commando maybe my bread and butter, I can always fall back on the ak and M4A1 when cash is tight. I see both the FAMAS and Galil becoming useful in those rounds where I'm under $3,000.



As for the Riot Shield. I can see it get some use. Especially if you get 2 ppl who can work together. One with the shield providing cover, the other being the real gun man. 5-7 is a little weak, but it does school the glock in power (It's true. It's damn true)and has decent accuracy. I'd be happier with a P228 as the fall back pistol. I assume though you still get the Secondary Weapon Slot, so deagles will probably be seen used with the Riot Shield when on the move.

The way it is being described it sounds to me like the shield will take the primary slot and the 5-7 will be automatically bundled with it, meaning whatever pistol you may have had will be dropped and no other pistol can be purchased when using the shield/5-7 combo. I'd think you would not be able to purchase another pistol or use a second pistol, as that would kind of defeat the purpose of bundling the 5-7 in the first place. Hmm I wonder if you pay the full cost of the 5-7 when buying the shield, or if you get a discount, like buy one get one half off... :\

The 5-7 is used best when someone is firing at you with a deagle. If you manage to dodge the bullets then you have a 20-round clip to pour into someone, and one thing aboutt he 5-7 is it is highly accurate. If you just rapidly press the trigger, you should keep hitting them, and because of the physics they won't be able to move (hate it when that happens). That is how to kill with a 5-7 it is not useless.



And, since it uses rifle ammunition, it should be be one of the most powerful guns in the game, but obviously noone told the CS team that when they made the game

The 5-7 uses FN P90 ammo, the SS190 5.7x28mm ball round.
