riot shield + kevlar = very minimum damage.. maybe normal damage for AWP.

I think the shield will be mostly used as a team effort. Ie one guy uses the shield to protect the guys behind him, it maybe very effective if coordinated right in a clan match, if thats your bag, baby.

It would seem very unrealistic to give the AWP full damage through shield+vest. It says it blocks small calibre rounds and slows down rifles rounds in the CS-Nation overview thing.



So pistols and SMGs should do no damage then and rilfes+awp should be greatly reduced.

That doesn't sound like a clean-through penetration but at least a reduction in damage, i.e. you can survive an AWP hit to the chest.

Im not so sure about sheilds, too many features in a game can reck the game, I hope it doesnt happen to CS.

i dont like the idea of the riot shield, might get kind of annoying, although who knwos, im not goona like it or dislike it until i play with it, and also, ill take a shield over a rocket launcher any day.

Just bear in mind it is balanced. You can only fire with the shield lowered. When you shoot, you're vunerable, when the shield is raised you cannot shoot.

And ho wfast can you run with it? I assume you've played with it?

The new Galil and FAMAS have a lot of potential, let's just hope they won't be like the UMP and end up being considered useless.



Somebody mentionned that the riot shield might end up being used as much at night vision, which reminds me if they'd FIX THE FREAKIN FRAME RATE DROP IT MIGHT BE USEFUL!!

i think the new update will rock regardless of how well the features work.

its great how the cts finally get a decent 2-3rd round rifle with which they can get full armor and grenades
