oohh and another thing, if you want to add music and already have it perfectly matching the video except its in a separate file from your video, then add and compress it using virtual dub, mp3 compression.. 8 seconds = 63k for my music (sounds cd quality btw but pretty low bitrate, lower than 128kbps) .. so doing the math for ~5 minutes that'll turn out to be only ... 2633 kilobytes (2362.5 rounded) or 2.6 megs; if your sound size is bigger than this without noticeable sound quality improvement, your movie isn't worth the download :pComment

I recently got into the habit of downloading movies to study other ppls tactics. (DemoHq.com) so far the best one I've ever seen is "Best Frags CPL Oslo - CS Movie" the music was fast-paced and went well w/the whole package. Anyone have any reccomendations?Comment

Bach wasn't involved, despite the titles of your mp3's. :) Johann Pachelbel was a composer in the late 1600's, with "Canon" being his most famous work. It's commonly referred to as "Canon in D" as that's the key it was in, and many works of the time went with that naming convention.

Thanks for the Music lesson!! Bloody Kazaa!! You try to download some Bach and you end up with PAchabel, and yes it is Canon in D Minor that I have. i have just gone and bought the complete works of Bach off the back of the mistaken mp3!! (Its ok I like it too, though a little maudlin at times.) Just saw the New Bond Movie. Now that is Counter Terrorism at its finest, I want an Aston MArtin NOW!!!! gimem gimme gimme!!!! Plz.Comment

well, here's what i've found so far...i plan on doing 2 versions, big and small, but doesnt seem to be working. i caputured everything at 8x6 30 fps and ran "1-pass" at 8k. i figured i could go back when put them all together and compress at 2k for the high quality and 1k for the low quality at 640. but 20mbs a minute is the best i can do even at 640 with a mere 1mb 8bt mono wave @ 11k/sec.
on "1 pass - quality based" on 76 percent (quantizer 8? ) it's still 32 mb for a minute and a half. so i guess i have to compress to the 2k the first go around, but ive found the text gets blurry, especially the red.
and abel, virtual dub doesnt seem to be able to use mp3 format, is there a codec or somehting i need? cuz wav's arent gonna cut it..Comment
