Coming from around 12 years of Catholic school teaching... We know approximately when Jesus was born. Just not the exact day/month. I can't tell you when because I honestly don't remember. But it has to do something with his age when he died (mid 30's) I better stop there before the Catholic school learned part of me takes over.

But we(or at least I) have been in these flame wars before, and it's back and forth "lol god is fake" "no, ur going to hell lol" which just stirs up trouble, and in the end gets nowhere.

We (as a non-religious culture) believe that Mohammed and Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) existed. We do not believe that Hercules existed. The Greeks were all on crack and playing with little boys. (Which brings me to Catholicism...)

It's impossible to prove that Jesus existed and I'm not saying that because I don't believe in him, if he did actually exist there still is no real way of proving it.

Instead of acting like you just know everything, why don't you try to learn some stuff first? Historical documents are how we know our history. To believe they a 40-year span of history was modified with fake historical documents is just ignorant.



I always thought Hercules was a Greek god and not a prophet, but apparently you're the freaking expert on religion and history so I stand down.

It's impossible to prove that the Romans existed. I can say this because it is absolutely impossible for you to prove it. This does not mean I'm right. Similarly, simply because you don't know what you're talking about and I never went to Israel to study the birth of Jesus, it does not mean that everything I say is a lie.



Countless historical sources leave very little doubt that both Muhammad and Jesus existed. These are not monks writing religious beliefs, they are simply historical writings which reflect the times. Whether or not Jesus/Muhammad are divine is a very different question which is almost irrelevant to your argument as you seem to believe it was impossible for them to exist.



Significant history writings point to both of them existing. I am not going to google and find everything, but you are simply wrong if you think otherwise. Sorry to sound to arrogant, but this is not an opinion. If the paper trail didn't exist it'd be far, far too easy to say that both leaders were made up.



Muhammad also led armies into battle. I mean, unless it was some mystical invisible person, this is pretty hard to argue. Be cynical about religion all you want, but every religion has a real history that has nothing to do with its teachings.

I didn't say Hercules was a prophet. I compare him to the others because he was the son of 'the' God Zeus with a mortal mother (exactly like Jesus) who came down and helped people out with many of his stories being very similair to ones later told about Jesus and Buddha.

I didn't just see it on TV. But apparently we're back to the old "TV lies to you because the discovery channel is very religious" debate.



It's not an opinion when you're wrong. The proof's there but you're certainly not looking. You act as if everyone is crazy for believing strong historical record. Give me a break.



Sooner or later when you find out that Jesus and ole Mo' really existed, you might be able to explore your faith better than simply saying everything is an outright lie. Certainly Jesus existing does not mean that any of the miracles in the bible are remotely close to being true. It just means that someone named Jesus was born and some people thought he was the son of god.



I am sorry for acting high and mighty. It's not like this stuff is really taught, but you should know they both people actually existed and have had a significant impact on history. This doesn't mean either of them were divine or truthful.

No, flame isn't an actual argument or discussion. While this is probably all retarded, flaming eachother would consist of saying the other person is a "fag" and writing nonsense.
