Actually, this is my THIRD Boomslang. I get about a year out of them with my constant hard use. I'd gladly buy another for the $60 that I paid for my current one. No other mouse has ever felt "right" to me.

Maybe if you took your mouse out to dinner, movie and a nice evening stroll, it would feel better?.....LOL

hey rizzuh, tech question... or whoever can answer this.

i have a microsoft intellmouse 3.0 currently, and for some reason, my right mouse button malfunctions. Like, when you zoom in with sniper rifle, and you right click again, sometimes nothing happens, like the zoom will stay the same. I sometimes have to click maybe 2 or 3 times for it to unzoom.
Change mouse. Otherwise, you can try to bind +attack2 to your scrollwheel (mouse3) if it's not bound, as a replacement. Or, if it only happens when you unzoom, it's maybe because zooming can't go as fast as you click (ie you cant click 5 times a second while changing zoom 5 times).

Try switching to pistol to unzoom quicly, I guess :/

      and get a new mouse

Dude, for the love of god, just take off the feet, unscrew stuff, open the mouse up and see if anything is broken or gummed up. If it is, clean it or modify it so it works. There's no reason to buy a new mouse. While to case is off it is also very easy to clean the mouse. I have also found that (after taking my own explorer 3 apart four times) that the feet stick right back in as long as you are somewhat careful with them after you remove them.

        Piece of cake.

By the way, to whoever actually cares that the MX series has a higher UPS than the explorer 3, you can go ahead and show me that you can move your hand fast enough across the pad with the explorer so that it DOESN'T register the movement, and then perhaps I'll buy a new mouse. Until then...it doesn't fucking matter.

It's no wonder mouse preference is such a highly personal thing... you're holding that baby for endless hours, week after week, for months or years.

As far as the DPI and UPS issues go, honestly I couldn't care less. The mice I have (which I won't bother to name, because it doesn't matter) gives me performance that I'm perfectly happy with. If I was unhappy with either, I'd upgrade to something better. But chances are that most of us have a mouse that we're satisfied with.

Heh, I wonder if I'm the only person around with 2 mice connected to their computer... :)

I do have two mice too.

The first mouse (dual optical) is connected to the front and I usually use that one.

The second one is plugged on the PS/2 port and I use it in case the first one pisses me off (I just put it when I still had my intellimouse explorer intellieye, you know the first one, because it just loved to block)

But now that I have dual I never use the second mouse and its collecting dust

I need a new mouse cuz my MS Intellimouse Explorer decided to not work anymore It just stops tracking and none of the buttons will work. At least it lasted almost 2 years.

                      Time for a MX500 or else a new Intellimouse. I haven't decided :\

I found a fix for the Scroll weehl games problems. The newest logitech Mouseware ( 9.75 ) on the logitech Page works great. The bug is gone. I can now play with the scroll in any games ( Q3, CS, RTCW, and so on ), perhaps it have some relations with the mouseware settings in the scroll lines. I have the default settings @ 1 line per scroll and it works great.

Test it! You will never miss it!

                              What about the gaming stuff??

I have just got my MX500 (its x-mas eve) and I´m thinking about what driver to install it with. I checked out the logitech website about the update and i found a special registration stuff for gamers. They only wrote about Q3 and rouge spear and just about the only game I´m playing is cs. I want the mouse5 button so I wonder if that "registration" works??

For this "battles" sake I just say that from a trackball mouse I do think this is a great update =D.

i just bought myself a mx700 today, and theres a fix on the logitech site, that allows the buttons that would'nt work in CS with the drivers installed to work, very usefull, and that way you won't lose a button
