LOL I ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT THIS PATEHTIC AND RETARTED COMMENT. i have a ps2, and oh yea, whenever im done with a a game of madden2002, im sweating like a pig, and need to relax with a glass of fresh fucking lemonade! lol what a load of horseshit. and yea, whenever i play CS, after im done, i have the crazy urge to kill, so i take it out on the neighborhood stray cats. i dont think the US Congress is going to pass anymore laws about gaming because of some close minded, very biased, short sighted documentary on some canadian news station.

the guy, bergen or whatever, is looking for a reason as to why his kid wants to spend more time with a computer game than he does with him, and this documentary shows why: he's a jackass. he cant realize, due to the blatanly obvious and ever widening generation gap, that young teens and young adults (thats me!) have considerably more influences during the most important stages of our lives then he and his generation ever did.

not all of those influences are bad either, but if there is any sense of doubt in that, the parents absolutely beat the dead horse calling for more and more censorship.

dont blame your faults as a parent on something you simply decide to remain utterly ignorant on, but let your increasingly pathetic propaganda influence those who are too stupid to think for themselves.

It might air on ABC, since CTV and ABC always air the same shit.

...he meant the actual physical sport, not the gaming version.

okay first of all, kids who are immature and think that gaming is the way to life are people who really should stay away from games specially like couter-strike, dont blame the games, do more research bout dumb idiotic kids who are immature should not play games, they should play games like barney and tellatubies, idiots. dont ruin the gaming society by your stupid behaviours towards your family by playing games

Yeah cant wait to see it, especailly because its hilairous to see CTV doing a documentary on it. But the sad part is.. that they didn't even balance it, so its really a one-sided documentary. Although I guess the gooseman interview will be interesting to see

Hey pple, I know I'm gonna be hated for saying this, but think about it.

They do have a point. People do get addicted to computers. It happens. More than you think. People dont realize it, but many are addicted. Most people just think that they like playing a lot, but they are in fact addicted. They will go pretty far to play.

Plz dont flame me, i wont read it anyways.

Yes indeed you have a point. They can be addictive, I don't think anyone can really dispute that. This is the same scenario as doing a documentary on road-rage, how the majority of drivers may get a little angry on the road, but never do anything about it. There are, however, those extreme situations where people have killed each other over silly automobile disputes. The media can make a generic statement like "cars can kill" ... you get the idea. So when extreme road-rage occurs can you blame it on the person? (yes), can you blame it on the situation (yes) ... and some people will just say that 'if he killed him, he must have been a psycho before he got in the car anyway.'

Is this making any sense??? Well I think so...point being that this extreme stuff they talk about on TV actually does happen.

I believe video games can lead to violence in some cases like road-rage can lead to violence. But taking away the video games will just leave kids to find a different substitute and will solve nothing.

If the teens are screaming shit out as they play (ie KILL KILL KILL, or THERES ONE LEFT!!! or DIE!!!), then there's a problem. Limit the time or take the game away. Yes, I know that you ppl who do do that stuff will flame me and and call me a bicht, etc, even if you don't post it here.

                              FROM THE THERAPIST COMMUNITY,

AS A PSYCHOTHERAPIST MYSELF, I FIND THE REPORT BOTH DISTURBING AND CONDUCTIVE TO VIOLENCE. I THINK REPORTS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE BAN SO THEY DO NOT CAUSE MORE HARM BY PRODUCING FEELINGS OF PARINOIA AND MISTRUST BETWEEN CHILDREN AND THERE PARENTS. (OZZY MAKES ME WORSHIP THE DEVIL!)

                              ALOHA,

The problems with documentaries is that they focus on just one person, and the documentaries point of view on that person. We are not all like this kid, nor are we all different from him. I can't see any half-witted person believing this documentary -- well, maybe Canadians but they won't see this because it's.... oh shit. -- especially if they have a child who plays CS, because I think they can tell the differences between their kid and the documentary's focus.
