But consider this: Grossman says you need three things to kill a human being: a weapon, skill and the will to carry out the task.They provide two out of the three? I'm assuming he means a weapon and the skill. How can you possibly say that they are "murder simulators" if they apparently, according to even himself, they don't supply the will to kill someone?

I let my 7 year old step-son watch me play CS (after I ditched the nude hostage models), and now 2 years later he's better then me (even though his hands are still too small for the mouse and can't access all the keys ont eh keyboard quickly)

Hell no. It made us bond faster then what would be considered normal. Parents REALLY need to take an active role in their kids lives, otherwise stuff like what looks to be inthe documentary can happen. Everything my stepkids (3 - woot) do or want to do I try my hardest to be active in.
As a sidenote - CS helped his reading skills increase as when I finally let him sit down and play, I told him to read the instructions. Then while playing he had to read everyones chat, which at first he didn't understand. And now playing and chatting with him you could never tell it was a 9 year old on the other end.
Counter-Strike is not a game that is bad for you. If you get out of control over something like a video game, then you have much deeper issues to contend with. If you're a parent of a child who gets out of control, maybe you should try being more involved with your kid instead of being scared of his/her outbursts.
