The thing that convinces me that cs is not dominated by people who enjoy the violence is the fact that, at the highest levels of play (cpl), most of the kills are at extreme ranges. (awp shots, colt/ak), not the close up spraying crap showed on the preview clip (obviously dumb pre-teen newbies, who are looked down on by the community at large because they give us a bad name).

Wohoo... I get CTV...in fact their studio is about a 30 minute drive from my house... perhaps I shall pay them a visit with an army of little cs minions. And about the gooseman interview it probably IS the same interview they aired last time, since CTV is a government network and they are cheap as hell and have a history of disgracing themselves.

(i shot a real gun only once, it was a doublebarelled shotgun, i only pulled the trigger while my uncle was holding it, i was 12 years old, i'm 28 now)



does video games give me the will to REALLY kill someone? yes actually that does happend when i come across a cheater or somebody that is plain ACE at playing (i just wanna strangle them, lucky thing they are wherever they are)

Finally, she reached for the computer's power button and his game world came to an abrupt end. Enraged, he grabbed his mother's wrist and twisted it. He then picked up the coffee table and threw it across the room, smashing it against the wall.



I think he was in the middle of a very important match , his team was winning and all of a sudden some bastard comes across cutting the power , taking away his winning streak, the best player in the team and so on...now that is a situation where one could kill!

god dammit. there will never be a decent "documentary" on computer game players till one of us gets the guts to do one. i'll be in the abandened mouse hole in the corner playing cs. please don't bother me, i'm scared of bright lights and people...*eep!*

ADDED: i have always had the feeling, even before i played any kind of First Player Shooter that people who say that this is bad are assholes who deserve two kicks in the balls and a facefull of mah fist!

ADDED YET MORE: we all must face it. there are bad seeds out there. some people take football or some physical sport to the extreme. some people take school or work to the extreme. some people take gaming to the extreme. one-sided bastards. haha i knew it would be on CSN. I was playing counter-strike the other niight, and my mom was watching tv (ctv) and it showed a demo of the upcoming thing. My mom is like " there going to do a thing on how your ADDICTED TO THAT STUPID GAME " she HATES IT, and shes like " YOUR ADDDICTED YOU LITTLE SHIT GET OFF THE FU******* GAME "

You know I think that the whole video game thing has been blown way out of proportion. Non-gamers think that theres something unhealthy about video games, because they contain human death.



But lets take a step back for a minute and think about why a game is fun. What do Football, Hockey, Fencing, Boxing, and Hide-and-Seek all have in common? They are simulations of war or other life and death situations. Thats what nature intended, for us to have fun while pretending to be in danger, practicing for possible real life situations.



The only difference is now there is that our games are somewhat more accurate simulations that include blood and such. I'm sure there are teens out there, starved of parental attention who have an unhealthy addiction. But those are specific instances and shouldn't be generalized this way, eh?

umm sounds like you got a problem thats more serious then being addicted to a video game. lol and if you ever flipped and like whacked her for talking to you like that, it'd be the video games fault that taught you to be violent, not the fact that she's calling you a little shit, right?
