Zim, I was just saying that people were acting like the scoreboard thing was the end of the world. I'll probably find it more annoying than cool but I don't really care.
As far as smokes. It will be helpful for covering important areas better if you're merely trying to get by. It would take several smoke nades if you wanted to try and cover that entire little section with smoke on dust2(as T I hated getting sniped going across to get into from some sniper in B or middle). I think they should make nades do damage if you literally hit someone with it also though, heh. Now it should only take two smoke nades to block long A hopefully.
Since everyone is whining about things they miss: I miss being able to pin someone down with smokes. The server I played in didn't have a buy time so it was a real challenge to smoke them. Sometimes the entire team would do it and completely smoke the spawn. It was usually the CT side that did this and you couldn't see at all. It was cool. It was also cool to keep someone there an entire round because of the 90 second buy time and saying "LOL!!!!!!!!" in all talk. This was an all dust server by the way. Cereal Killers the dust bowl 24/7 or something like that.Comment

Why do you care? Gah. People have said why it's there and it's a good reason. Nearly everybody plays in pubs and teamplay was (apparentally) the point of the game. You know that you're not supposed to be entirely deathmatch because it pisses everyone else off in the server. Giving them points to plant is good. It makes it so they go for the bomb on the radar rather than going around the map searching for the few remaining CT's instead of making them come to them.
3 frags for defusing the bomb / bombing , this isnt TFC! ... btw whats the point.. so people follow objectives.. come on.
Does your score really matter that much? Answer that. If it does, then why don't you defuse or plant and get the points too?BG-Decoy wrote..
I really doubt BG is good enough for you to worry about CAL supporting it since you gave no reasons for it being "gay" and CAL has never supported more than one version of CS. They will when 1.6 is final however. Maybe next time you can read more than half of the sentence and see that it's a beta?
It looks gay and cal doesnt support it.Comment

The point is people aren't planting the bomb when they could. This is to make sure that they do. The people that don't plant the bomb when they could still wouldn't if it just said how many times you planted.
gpig.. technicaly.. by defusing the bomb and getting 3 frags doesnt make sence. They want to make the game "realistic" well its not.. they should atleaste make another colum then " defused / bombed " or whatever..
You really haven't presented a good reason for them not doing it yet. They didn't do it for realism and I've already said why it makes sense, so has puffycloud, so have others.
As for defusing the bomb, there are sometimes that people really do deserve it. I mean being in like a 1 on 4 and killing all of them and defusing and not getting even a single gj(which happens) it would be a nice bonus to have 3 kills for that. Or for the clever bad player(I've done this alot in pubs where I'm outclassed, the opposing team is raping us, or my team will simply not rush the bombsite on dust) who does something like what I like to do on dust, I camp behind the greenbox after like the 8th round or so of us getting annihilated with a kit and wait for the plant then after they leave I defuse it. It's fun. Also there are several much more daring defusals where they don't clear the bombsite to make it safe but rather rush in and start defusing and hope the T's don't get to them in time and they die right after defusing.
You get the idea. Actually you probably still don't.Comment

ok maybe i am way off. But also, in real life the CT(and i guess T's) will be reporting every single kill. And if there is a known number of terrorists, then they also have someone in command keeping track I'm guessing. If they don't than that seems really sloppy to me. But in CS, its kinda hard to report every kill, and remember how many people have been killed. Especially in big pub server(32 player) it will probably cause more camping, sicne if you know your the last on your team and your not sure how many there are on the opposing team. You can't just think, "oh 3 more. Got one, two more. One more to go...."
Khaos must feel foolish for typing all that.. both your version of real life scenario's and the cs version of real life are so remote from the truth it's laughable.Comment
