i have a quick question.



does any1 know when 1.6 real version comes out?(not beta)



and if i get 1.6 beta will it screw up my cs that i have right now?

Don't worry about 1.6 beta screwing up CS 1.5 unless you're running with Steam. As long as you run with half-life for 1.5, it won't be any problem.

after reading bout a page of this chtuff, i guess the "cs community" pretty much pointed out that the WORST update in 1.6 would be the GOD DAMNED SCOREBOARD

Ok first things first. CS is totally unrealistic. You say that real CT's and T's don't know how many are left on the opposing team. Well newsflash: CS maps are tottaly unrealistic. Do you think T and CT's arrive at a site at the exact same time and rush to the bombsites to plant the bomb? HELL NO!!



Also, real CT's will clear every room before moving on, or leave trailers behind in case somehow terrorists were hiding. And terrorists will tend to guard one spot with there life mowing everyone down that they see. THey don't need to know how many in real life it's an endless onslaught until they die.



But this is not real life this is CS. Big difference.

yea, u cannot play the BETA version, but u can play when the real version comes out

Also, what about the exec_client? Didn't they say they'd get rid of that? I'm sick and tired of admin abuse! Oh btw, someone said if u make your config read-only then their commands are only temporary, and it won't save when u exit or rejoin :)

making your config.cfg read only prevents it from being fucked up.

Adding points for planting the bomb makes it so you won't have those people that literally run through the bombsite with the bomb.

As for people whining about deaths not showing on the scoreboard. Boo-fucking-hoo.

i'm not so sure about that. it was always nice to see how many team mates you still had and how many the enemy has left. but then again, this might improve radio usage. "Reporting in" etc.

won't go as far as to say they rule, but now they finally can do what they were made for. provide cover. too bad they still use sprites tho.

do you think that in real life people press tab you see who's in a battle? oh please. there is a certain realism level to this game, true, but if it was realistic reloading would take longer, you wouldn't hit the broad site of a barn while jumping and getting hit by 1 bullet from any gun would seriously impare your walking capabilities. so please, knock it off. the nice thing about an online game is that you can see several things you wouldn't in real life. like who's dead and who's not.
