Maybe. If so, it would cut down on people with other people's names ruining their score. I think that would be too hard to manage tho. It will probably go by WONID

In the article it says that the glock is stronger, and has a barrel. Now it's a black rectangle with a pretty silver cylinder at the end, instead of just a black rectangle.

I think Steam downlodes it all everytime. I seem to remember something about caching on the last major update steam-thingy, but I'm not sure.

Yes, that is very sad. Maybe if I can get admin access to the school T1 again I can just play from there. Good thing the server room is in my homeroom-teacher's class =] I once convinced him to give me admin access, but someone with brains noticed after about a week.

i know im the not the only one with this set up:winxp, soundblaster live, retail version. and i was told that 1.6 was to set voice_dsound 1 as default, so mebbe my mic can work. anyone know if this happened? i didnt see it in the article. (good one rizzuh btw) =j

I hope you can still silently go up the ladder. Last time i climbed up a ladder in real life it didn't make a noise of me rapeing a steel wall with a strap on.

But seriously speaking I hope they don't consider the silent ladder trick an exploit. You can silently walk which is just as miraculous as going up the ladder silently. And on top of that while silently going up a ladder you are vulnerable as hell because you can't look anywhere but at your feet. And you're slower than normal too...like silent walking.

The scoreboard changes have to be the most idiotic idea ever. They always decide to add something completely useless and stupid. Valve should instead fix something like the damn transparent Radar.

nice review ruz, but no word about the server side... since i run a linux server, will i be able to set up a 1.6 server where people can connect to with steam (as we have it now with 1.5) or can you only start a 1.6 server with the (windows) steam version? if that is the case i don't think i'll bother much with 1.6...



and is there any indication on when valve will release a regular (120MB+) upgrade/full version of cs.16 (and the next version of hlds_l)? i'm more partial to the seperate download versions as these are customizable (i hate the default models & sounds except opera.wav).

God learn to read schietschijf, it's a freaking beta and yes there will be a cs1.6 conventional update after the beta and there will be linux servers obviously.



It even says that 1.7 will be steam only, which will bring down valve due to volume complaint e-mail (notice the - rizzuh? just for you~)
