i really hate all those stupid fools that think games encourage violence. any sane person knows its just a game, and people who dont know that are insane, and should be kept away from those types of games. stupid stupid government and society.

Yah well this event occured in Canada. We do not have capitol punishment, and by the sounds of things, since the offender may be under 18, the punishment may not be as stiff as it definitely should be.

I guess our legal system here, sometimes doesnt work the way it should.

They have not caught this guy yet ? They already had the funeral and 100 people showed up , and this guy is still out there ? wOw. Turn this guy in if your hanging out with him. This kind of person has crossed the line , for taking a life his life will definitely be lesser then it could have been. I understand a beating but killing ?



A message to the murderer : You crossed the line between What seperates Functioning self controlled conscious responsible citizens from Maniacal vicious killing animals. Playing a video game violent or otherwise is supposed to be a low risk behavior that does not constitute reprocussions outside of the game. You my friend need to learn some self-control and enroll in anger management class , becuase you lost the game and now you lost your life. Sad.

not meaning to sound like an arsehole, but no one has been shot in a UK LAN Cafe... and we have gun control laws. It's like school rules - they may seem gay when you are there but actually there is a good reason for it.

There is no way he deserved it. BUT in Canada it's harder to get a gun now. will should be. i live across the country and i am upset about this I see people get mad over simpler things then getting owned. It's just their mental state. the guy must have family troubles or something else cause i really can't see anybody shooting someone because of just counter-strike. And Of Course they blame the game. Just think of how many people are playing this game instead of Committing illegal acts. Counter-Strike Encourages Team-Playing. More Friends are made then Enemy's. unless you are 12 years old with the high pitched voice everyone hates them lol. But I Believe Counter-Strike Does more Good than harm. There are People who take it over the line. Who can't control them selves. Usually from neglected from there parents and when they are ask why he would have done it they blame the game cause they don't wanna Blame Themselves

Actually, you know what? There was a hockey dad that got upset and killed a coach or a ref because he thought the coach or ref was unfair. I'm not exactly sure when/where, but I've heard of it.



The thing is, stuff like this happens in all sports, cybersports, or otherwise.

but u have to admit...after u play games like cs for a while and u think ur good u want to try the real stuff..like paintballing...bbgunning...even real guns...u just want to try it...see if ur good or not at real shooting...im not talking about shooting someone im talking about shooting in a target range with real guns of course...paintballs u can do whatever u want...except shoot dogs!..my friend shot his neighbors dog with a paintball gun and they sued...or mabye im the only one who wants to do that...i have been known to think of my self as crazy...:\

I've heard news that people died by playing too much CS, but I have never heard of a murder of someone because of CS.
