It pisses me off how hypocritical people are. They talk about how predigest is bad, but when as soon as they see someone dieing and Counter-Strike being within a 5 block radious they blame it on games. What makes ME violent is stupid predigest people, so I blame THEM. :)

I dont think its any different from road rage. Some asshole shoots someone over something stupid. The only difference is that in a road rage murder, no one blames the car for what happened.

I don't see the appeal of lan centres when you've got a computer in your house but then I don't leave the house under any circumstances.

Arcades have always been the hang outs of nefarious types, the lan centre is just the modern version.

Well Danki, some people are too lazy to pay the $20 to buy HL or CS, so they shell out $3 a day to play for an hour.

I wonder why people blame games for someones actions. Did the game actually make him do it? No. Did the game make him think it was ok to kill? No. Did the game have any influence to this action? No. He got pissed because he was losing. I agree that this could have happend with anything, not just Counter-Strike.

built up tension over time bursted out in one large firework lit by one little message, you cant relate this to counter strike..... i play this game to relieve tension alot of times, the only thing that makes me mad is when someone hacks or is bein retarded... it would be a natural reaction to say its game related violence but if you had any common sense you would realize hundreds of things could have sparked this murderer's doings......

if this was true, then wouldn't we all be dead? i mean, i see at least one player criticising another player (bah, damn 10 year olds) in pubs at least once every time i play. and you do not want to know how many hours i've logged onto cs. but oh well. all that i'm trying to say is that it is human nature and in our blood to fight. look at the world and take your eyes off of your computer monitor and turn on the tv. we're at friggin war!!! this wasn't cs' fault! i concur dearly with asspennies (i applaud your alias) that this incident could have happened with even the likes of hearts and chess or whatever. thus, the next time you make fun of or have a virtual chat fight (which is dumb and nonsensical in the first place), ask your self this: "do i really want to die over this?".
