Uh huh, thank you for the insult against America, I'm sure you're very intelligent because you can go along with the rest of the world and say bad things about my country.
Hey dude I'm not trying to insult America just telling you what I've heard FROM AN AMERICAN. Everyone go see Bowling For Columbine now! Then you'll understand

Gun Laws in Australia are pretty strict, nothing auto at all and no large rifles (i think). I suppose America is a hu ting country so these would not work but you could ban auto weapons.

    RIP Kwee

Maybe its because im an insensitive prick.. or maybe its because im just an asshole. But i dont really care that he got shot.. not like im saying im glad he did, but if it didnt happen to anyone i knew or in my city. I dont really care. I would also like to know what a gun was doing in an internet cafe. Oh well sick fucks like me out in this world. 1000's of people die each year in the US do to shootings but theres never an article on that. I dont care if it was about CS which it probably was because its a frustrating game. I have broken 2 keyboards and my poor optical logitech mouse playing CS. And i dont need to chill out i need marijuana to be legalized. BLOW me you anti-drug fucks. If the US put as much money and effort into catching terrorists, maybe we would get them. I love the US
The fact that you even dare to state that you don't care the person got shot surprises me. People like you just make the world more negative. You stated that you are an insensitive prick and by god, I agree. I also agree that you wonder what the fuck a gun was doing in an internet cafe. There is a huge difference between real life and video games. If you get pissed off over video games, than you truly have no life. Breaking keyboards and mouses? For heaven's sake, turn the fucking thing off if you get pissed. Why keep playing?

Everything that happens affects how you think, it's how you act that matters. Everyone gets angry about things. Games are easy enough to get angry at when you're loosing, and it will only make matters worse if the person you're loosing to is bragging non-stop. However, just because you get angry at someone, doesn't mean you act on that anger. There is never an excuse for killing, don't blame the game, don't blame society, blame the murderer. The number of gamers who have killed are vastly outnumbered by the number of gamers who haven't, so if less than 1% of players go out and kill, how can you possibly say that it's the game's fault when there are so many non-killing gamers out there?

Like I said, since when has playing well and being a bit boastful about it been grounds for murder? These aren't "wrongs" done, they're the normal reaction people have to doing really well.

I really don't understand how you can sympathize with the murderer in a case so blatantly wrong as this. There's a vast difference between extreme wrongs done to a person, and a bit of humiliation.
I think you've misinterpreted me. I'm not sympathizing with the murderers. I'm saying that it's possible that they weren't the only ones who screwed up, and that we should take a second to look at that possibility.

Besides, along those lines I would strongly disagree with you that boasting is the normal reaction to doing well at something. Furthermore, doing so openly would most definitely incite people to anger. According to the article, Kwee began gloating as he kept winning. The point I'm trying to make is that the lessons to be learned here are not just from the murderers but from Kwee as well. Both sides screwed up here, and the lessons we can learn from Kwee's error shouldn't be overlooked simply because he's dead.

lets get this somewhat straight shall we? even if violent vid games cause violent tendencies in individuals as some of U claim, who the fuck cares??? no one can possibly ban vid games out right as seen in Greece and Brazil. The rebellion against such a move will not allow itz. AND futhermore, THIZ incident, as with many other shootin cases, happened coz the kid was able to get a piece. now.... who would U blame???? CS?? or the ppl who gave the kid a gun, and the kid for that matter, allowing JUST a game to ruin his shitty existence....

kids, if U like to fire guns THAT much, join the marines. They MAY need U in Iraq.

No game on earth should be able to inspire that degree of hatred. In a situation like this murderer was in, I have no doubt that the values instilled in me by my parents would win out. No matter how bad the rest of my life was going, there is no excuse for killing someone over a computer game.
                Agreed.

For the most part, automatic weapons are banned in our country. You're still allowed to own one if you had it prior to the ban, but you can't import or sell any full auto weapons now, unless you're in the military, police, or armed guard services. Furthermore, from what I've read on the subject, Australia's murder rate has been going up since the tougher gun laws were put into place. Either way, all of that is not very relevant to this discussion.

Between some of that crap, and some later stuff that got deleted (including his rant on why he loved to use cheats), Itsfuntolose69 earned himself a few weeks to learn some anger-management skills without the temptation of posting on CSN.

Yeah, I think I did misinterpret you some, and I agree with what you're getting at. Gloating is a stupid action, yes, and it's likely to piss people off. I still think it's fairly natural, but it's fairly natural for people to act like jerks sometimes. I still hold to my position that this level of error wasn't nearly enough to provoke the response it got. Well, not from a normal, adjusted person, anyway.

I totally agree with what devilklin wrote he's totally right on the fact that if kids like the factor of killing someone in "real" life they should go to the Marines. Video games are a source of getting away from everyday troubles, they are much like a vacation for the mind in many ways. The mind needs these kinds of escapes, if we did get rid of video games or whatever you call them, I think that we all would be going insane because our mind would be so tied up in everything that we do. I mean thats why we take vacations to places around the world to get away from everyday life. Right?

There's something that's typically overlooked in a case like this: What does it look like from the other side? Sure, school shootings, things like this, just look at the end result and place blame haphazardly. Why not? Saves you the trouble of having to put any real thought into it. How are you people any different from the people blaming videogames? Being so quick to condemn one side makes you just like them. You're trying to cover your own asses, nothing more.

One side went too far in his violence. The other went too far in his obnoxiousness. What other factors were involved in this situation? Pfff. Who cares, huh?
alright. no doubt kwee did go alittle too far, but that doesn't mean that he deserved to have a gun shoved up his ass. Wat we're talkin bout is since when does bragging warrant execution?!?!?! and how DID a gun fall into his irresponsible hands????

I care. Every respectful CS player cares.

My condolences to his family and friends. It pains me to see that there are such morons out there who would wish to deny another person's natural right to live over a stupid argument, and that it escalated over a game of all things. The media will have a field day over these recent CS/gamer's deaths.

Good point Mouth. I agree, it's easy to get caught up on one side of this affair and not even recognize any wrongs done on the other side. Honestly it looks to me like this murder was mostly one-sided but I think you have a good point that we should try looking at things from the opposite perspective...perhaps there was something different or something more that Mr. Kwee could have been done.
It's not even about looking at it from the opposite perspective, as i don't see how Kwee could be held responsible for anything beyond a minor beating. There are a whole slew of issues and perspectives that are/could be involved with not only the incident itself, but LAN shops themselves, the lack of any precautions they take, what precautions they should take, the attitude of the CS community, etc.. In the realm of psychology alone, there's oodles of shit to consider. But the sum of these comments ends up being a news-bite lubricated cue card yank-off that will be repeated verbatim the NEXT time it happens, just like the cries of "Videogame violence!" are.

I go by the bible. Some people go by the law. No matter which commonly accepted definition of right and wrong you pick, however, they all condemn acts such as this, without exception. Thank you for the wonderful elloquence in that second sentence, however. I'm sure that was in there for some good reason... or not.
Kind of like how i'm sure the length of your posts is directly and unfailingly proportional to substance.

Hey, yeah. Some believe in the magical words of an invisible guy in the sky, and some go by a system that is more analogous to bloatware than justice. What sterling points of reference. And how completely relevant to the challenge that was made.

Still waiting on that definition, bitchhole. If you're going to go to bat for an idiot, at least have the decency to put forth either a direct answer or some rational points.
We pray daily that you will never be in such a position.
One of these days, i'll just hand you a bunch of retorts that don't suck so you can quote them and make yourself feel special.
