That was a bug! I copied one of the green crates, retextured and resized, and forgot to stop it being explosive or even destroyable. In my head, wooden crates don't explode unless they look like they're explosive. In any account, exploding world items don't fit in with my interpretation of what CS is - hence the crate was fixed. Sorry.
I still want to know why the exploding crate was removed. I love that thing... The only downer was when you killed someone with it and didn't get a frag for it.Comment

IMHO Dust was one of the first maps in which both teams stood an equal chance of winning. It's obviously the classic map, which defines CS completely. Above all though, it taught all of the Deathmatch crew that CS was about tactics, not rushing and spraying. It taught us all to use sound to great effect; it's still the best way for CTs to defend site A.
Isn't dust a pure rush map?Comment

dust, d2, and also d3 & d4, were good. Although d3 & 4 took some time to get used to.. Other than that, I remember liking d3 & d4 a lot, especially for the fact that David kept on making new dust variations after D1 & D2, so I was quite glad that he released those extra maps, as I'm a fan of dust maps ;p
The choke points in dust maps are amazing, I would say its also a great map for nice strats & setups like aztec. I would find myself always luving these top3 maps: de_dust & de_dust2 and aztec. Oh and lastly, speaking of dust maps, will we be possibly be seeing any updates in future for like 1.6 or 1.7 ? :PComment
