I've never played iceworld thankfully. These types of maps seems to defy the entire reason for why I play CS but I guess some poeple might see it as I nice distraction from 'normal' play.

I dont think I have agreed on anything more than I do with comment nr 3!!! Iceworld is NOT supposed to be CS ffs, if this abomination keeps spreading, then the REAL CS is DEAD, BURIED and GONE. If you like Iceworld, go and play Quake, and keep these deathmatches there, Iceworld is NOT CS!! Its that simple, anyone over 8 (I do mean IQ-level) understands that.

maps like iceworld are more fun at lans and in generally than the other (official)maps I've played already to much.

iceworld gets really gay when u have stacked team and half your team dies when 4 grenades come flyin over before u pick up a gun. then you have to deal with so many people on one side not letting you go where you want to go. then you realize you have a mac10 when the other team has armor and all rifles

Here's the question I've been dying to figure out ever since I played iceworld the first time...



What does the "FY" in fy_iceworld mean??? I've always thought it meant "Fuck You", because iceworld is such a bastard child of everyday, strategy-based maps. However, I love iceworld. I think it's the most intense map out there.

i like iceworld. i also like playing the official maps in matches. i do not like playing the official maps in pubs unless its with really shitty people who are horrible at the game.

i can play iceworld with guys from e7 and it's still fun, you know why? because you're back alive and ready to rush with a tmp in 15 seconds after you die. official maps just piss me off, getting killed a minute and a half into the round means i have to watch some newbie camp behind a box for the rest of the round, camping the bomb like its the cpl finals.

ICEWORLD SUCKS!!!



It's not bad for 10mins but i have a server and the people have been playing iceworrld for the last hour on it. Maybe i'll deleate it off my server



(I have a map voting system so if i chnage the map everyone gets pissed and quits... i just leave it up to them to pick the next map)

I have friends that play only iceworld, and on a normal map they seriously don't have any sense of gameplay or do they even acknowledge that objectives exist.

I think that Iceworld is one of the best custom maps made for CS. The best part is getting 2-4 nade kills with one nade. AWP'ers dont bother me that much cuz i dont run in a straight line towards the enemy like a lot of CS players do. To a lot of people objectives really dont matter to them, they just want to get kills to keep their score up and looking good.
