i would fall into that 2-3 year period. well i played at my friends house earlier but didnt get it at my house till i got cable.



i think loyalty means that you would back up cs if someone was putting it down, or if gooseman came to your house and said "i need you to rob a gas station using a loaf of bread for me!" you would do it.



sad that so many people pretend to be all badass and experienced at cs, then the server switches to some cut map like foption and everyone has to download it or runs around lost.

I hate that stupid person who had me first play counter-strike. Now its an addiction. No theres no Evercrack, there is Counter-Crack though. (But the best part is, it only costs 30$ and my time. The graphics can be tweaked so much that there is no real need to update your computer)

Your entire point in that response was that ball games have not been around for centuries, which they clearly have. Perhaps you need to go read some history books instead of making brash attempts at being clever and entertaining.

As for spectator sports, temples in south America have been found containing ceremonial games where a leather ball (and sometimes a decapitated head) were kicked around into stone hoops. These games were played in front of crowds (who sat on large stone terraces). I think that constitutes a spectator sport.



These were not professional, but thats not the point of the argument. You were dismissing his argument by saying sports didn't exist centuries ago, which they did.

Amazing article, deserves the best -- even though I never realized loyalty was part of C-S. Well, I should know this since I play all night and all day (AKA 24/7/365 -- know what I mean?). I am a dork, nerd, and a geek. Never forget my laptop for school, my briefcase (backpack), pocket protector, one inch thick-rimmed spectacles, and my trousers which almost reach my breast (my pants are really small). I wear those with suspenders and a white, button-down shirt. Very much in style. I guess my attitude needs a bit more loyality in my life and C-S. However, do geeks need them?
