      Hmmm where do i start,

Yes cs-radio is gone. Some people think we sucked. We always said for every one person that liked our show there was one person that hated it (probably closer to 10)

Did we care? No, why? We did it for fun, and fun it was. 1200 people

listened to us every week, don't know why but they did.

Why did we quit? Frankly there was less and less to talk about every week. The person that said we ignored cal and all the other leagues. yes we did. Why? because I could care less about people that would kick my ass 99 out of 100 rounds if i played them.

Is counter-strike dead? nope not by a long shot. Will it grow old and fade away until the community consists of a few thousand people crammed together on 100 servers... probably.

CS has reached the top of the mountain. As I said in the last show. The game is at the point where major changes are not coming in fear of losing the players that are playing now. CZ will eventually come out and breath some more life into the community but I fear a little to late.

Rizzuh did not find our show entertaining. but others did, they found a place where arrogance and elitism was not tolerated (unlike a lot of places)

So Rizzuh.. gg, You have succeeded in bringing the csr community even closer together than it was. Do we hate you? No. As you put it.. we have no opinion about you.

      P.S.

oh and i didn't call you gay Garry i called you stalker Gary because for somebody that hated our show you seemed to go to our site a lot. Just wanted to clear that up.

stop wasting your time on a pointless internet argument about a great web radio show if you hate it so much.
What's this hate, hate hate? I don't hate anything. Give up on trying to turn CSR into a persecuted JESUS or some form of misunderstood art. It wasn't holy and it didn't have any cultural relevance.

You know how when you substitute a baby monkey's mother with a monkey-shaped towel, the baby will cling to to the towel like the towel is its' Mommy? That's exactly what we're getting here. Obviously, the CSR fan-base needed a tit --any tit-- to suck on. CSR became their towel/mommy when no else would.

        To clarify:

This American Life (http://www.thisamericanlife.org) is an intelligent, well-researched, thought-provoking no-budget radio show made by several under-paid young people at a non-profit station in Chicago.

THIS SHOW IS YOUR REAL MOMMY and it gives real milk.

CS Radio (http://csradio.counter-strike.net) was a moronic, un-rehearsed, BORING, no-budget radio show made by several unpaid young people in some guy's bedroom(?) somewhere.

THIS SHOW WAS JUST A TOWEL and offered zero nourishment.

Now, I'm sorry to break this news to all the baby monkeys out there but it's the sad truth. That doesn't mean the people who made your towel/mommy are bad people. It also doesn't mean they didn't care about you. And it doesn't mean they didn't try to make you happy. It just means there was no way they could ever be the real thing.

Of course, if you truly are a monkey then you never could tell the difference anyway, could you?

        Long live elitism.

Hi. I post lame pictures that say how stupid internet arguments are only after my own argument has collapsed on itself.

Okay this has been addressed dozens of times already. I can see your point.
For all the "fuck rizzuh" posters, here's why I respect rizzuh. Hey, we all screw up, and rizzuh actually considers the fact that he's not perfect. Thank you, Rizzuh. While I'm not like some of the other people here who seemingly want to get in your pants, hats off for actually listening. :-D

Why, because he's opinionated, and he actually <grasp> disagrees with you?

I really do get sick and tired of people who get mad at someone for criticizing anything. Like it or not, sometimes things do actually suck. He said it sucked, and he gave some pretty damn good reasons why. He also seems to recognize he may have been wrong about posting his view in the news section.

Go cry me a river if you're so upset that he hates CSR. CSR did suck, whether you like to admit it or not.

Blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda, CSR is Jesus, ho hum.

I've been both a CSR listener and a popular website webmaster, and in technical terms, what Riz has actually just done is smart move on his account. Biased reporting or no, he has just served himself up a bunch of traffic. To get to this point, I had to read four seperate pages of comments and then log in. That's five webpage hits to CS-Nation notched on the board. And then I'll be looking at my post's inclusion, so whack another on there too. I'm sure RzE could give two testicles who thinks he's fucked or thinks he's God (making CSR his son? Something is wrong in this analogy), by including his own opinion, he's probably increased the traffic this news would have made unbiased tenfold.

And as for my personal opinion, for we all like making traffic once in a while, I'd like to say that as for CSR's excuse for endings goes, it's pretty good. I know my reason for quitting my website was nowhere near as coherent. I believe it was something along the line of:

"Well, like it or not, a one very devoted, unpaid web journalist can actually match a corporate website fascist like GameSpy, but what does it matter if they still get all the attention"

Compared to my closing the Forge and BackBurner, Van and Steve have actually thought this through.

Keep making traffic, my little discussionists! GameSpy will reward you with another bland and money-driven Planet site if you do!

                            -1 for smoothing

                            -1 for the silencer

It's actually pretty cool. I like that scope.
