And I don't give two shits if you're getting paid to do this website or not, how long it's been up, or if you feel like compromising or not. Because that's not the issue. You talk about your driving personality...yeah, it's driving, if you consider heading for that big tree driving. Because, my friend, this is a life lesson. The more you bash, the more enemies you get. The more enemies you get, the less allies that are left, which in your case, will lead to less and less readers.

I'm sure he's crying right now and secretly wishing CSN wasn't getting thousands of unique hits a day.

Btw, when was the last time CS-Radio gave away a PS2? Console games? PC games?

I did separate my rant with a sentence, sarcastically saying "I'm sure everyone really wants to read the following rant about my thoughts." Sometimes I don't separate my opinion from the rest of the post entirely, however.



The token rule is if someone cannot separate objective reporting (usually a sentence or two and a link) with an opinion then they're going to have big problems in life. Much bigger than things like CS.

Well it's a good point you make but there is no way that I'm going to piss off so many people that it affects readership at all. Anyway, maybe it should be a time for lauding them. If you read my last paragraph, I absolutely agree with your sentiments.



Does them closing mean that [CSR] wasn't borderline crazy and that the show wasn't boring for most people? Of course not. Why would I post this now? Well because now they can't mock me on the air!

I like rizzuh's commentary at times. I do agree however this shouldn't be put there in the post. This is after all, supposedly, an objective news site for CS, isn't it? At least in the news section it's supposed to be.



Rizzuh, as a reader and paying "subscriber", I would like to see an opinion of yours in the comments section instead of the news posts. Yes, your opinions are refreshing sometimes. Yes, I do agree that CSR was pure utter dog crap on a stick. I listened to one of the episodes for about 5 minutes, and they just talked about totally useless stuff like, "Yeah, remember that time I unplugged my mouse to use the USB plug to get some stuck ear wax out? That was gay!" (No, not literally, but that would actually have been more interesting.) They then proceeded to make fun of some guy for doing something "gay", I can't remember. It was to me the de facto definition of "wasted bandwidth" on the Internet. I know they may have spent time and effort doing it, but come on. CSR was part of everything I have grown to loathe in this game's community. It was immature people with too much power of the internet in their hands, too much free time, and not enough motivation to do something actually useful with it all.



Regardless, I just ask you to simply put your commentary on the comments page or in an editorial, so it's not labelled News. Then there's absolutely no question about your site's journalistic integrity. As much as I hated CSR, I hated to see a post like that made in your news section. I try to stay away from all the gibberish like that, and I really don't want to make that now to include avoiding your site like I did CSR. I come here for news, not rants. You putting the rant in the news section makes me sift through that where it doesn't belong.



I just am sick and tired of all the immaturity that goes on in the CS community, and this just adds to it. Keep on doing it if you want, and that's cool. I'll go elsewhere for my news, as you already suggested.

I'm not here to bash on CSR, but I will definitely say it's pretty foolish for some of their listeners to come to this site and bash on it. Not only do you disprove any validity for arguments claiming that CSN is unimportant, but it also makes the CSR community look even worse in the eyes of the CSN viewers.



But nevermind any of that "common sense" stuff. Flame on CSR, let us all know why this site sucks. I'm sure we'll suddenly all reevaluate our lives and decide to never come back. Or something.

The thing is, you only listened to those 5 minutes, you can't develop an accurate opinion on the show from just that. There was so much more to the show than just calling things "gay"... so much more.



*sigh*



Whatever, I'm sick of this. This argument will never have to take place again. CS-Radio, which none of you understood, but still criticized constantly, is dead. Done. Over. Never again will that name grace the pages of CS-Nation.



Honestly rizzuh, injecting a bit of personality into your news is always a good thing, but when you take every single opportunity you can to put down the show it becomes obvious that you have some kind of grudge against it. Not to mention most of your post was nothing but saying how crap the show and its listeners were.



I'd like to just end this ongoing fued between CSR and CSN right now if possible. Several of us will continue to wear the tag in remembrance, but you will never have to hear about it again.

I don't know what's up with me and the CSR hosts, but they probably don't like me as evidenced by a random jab during The Family God interview. I don't really have an opinion on either of them.



I hate [CSR] but I'm just not a fan of the show.

CSN doesn't steal news nor do we make it up. These are kind of baseless accusations, but you're probably a [CSR] so I exprect that. If you havent' found an "informative article" on this site then you should probably stop visiting us and go download the best of Opie and Anthony instead of wasting your time on a useless idiot like me.

If I can word it better: my opinion is that many people visit this site to see news with at least some bit of opinion, not force-fed "everything rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! rocks ass!" fansite blither-blather.



I'm not going to change that simply because it creates discussion in our comments, that are very popular compared to even larger websites (Blue's News?). Hell, if they create big discussions like this then I have a reason for encouraging real posts with substance rather than formal delivery.



We're a community with spirit and this spirit should be reflected on its websites. CS-Nation has plenty of competition and if you don't like my style, which I won't change since I'm a pompous asshole, then please give them a hit or two of your time.

Right on, oneof the very reasons IO come here is because of the hints of individuality, and opinion given on the posts and in the news it self. I vist cscentral and its boring tbh. Facts show that this style of 'reporting' (ffs its a site about a computer game!) is popular, and riz should do EXACTLY what he has been doing to maintain the levels of interest the site generates. In a time when a good percentage of cs sites are out of date and are wsating some disk space on a webserver somewhere, It is refreshingto find a regularly updated repository of CS knowledge,. Also For all half year n00bs out there, how use ful are the cs nation archives, and the basic info etc. I mena, when i got into the game, I had no advice, no mates into it Just borwsed the net, n found this site, Which is a general handbook, for cs, so csr usa people stfu!!!

I have to disagree CNN is just a propaganda machine, which 'makes'the news through its eeditorial and the choices it makes on what it displays. TBH I have never zxeeen such unadulterated biased crap ni my life. Watching CNN, certainly wqhat they beam to us abroad, is like being in soviet russia! Churning endless propaganda about the evils of the world, Jeez, Sack Rumsfeld, and just give the money staright to cnn. WEl,,thats my opinion, I hear SAddams challenged Bush to a tv debate, shame Bush can barely string more than threee sentences together, but ots oik, Im sure his button pushing finger is fine, and he can also probably form the sentence ,

Seriously though... NATO-like pacts in CS is really, really childish. Its a game, people. Having said that, CSR did provide a service to the CS community. I tuned in once, a long time ago. Thanks to CSR personnel.
