I'm well aware of how to scan through text to find what I'm looking for. Like it or not, in our society, we're inundated with information, some of it false, some of it fact, some of it opinion. That section of the page is NEWS. It doesn't say editorials. It doesn't say rant. It doesn't say jokes, etc. It's a waste of my time to sift through it (although small), and if it continues or increases, I'll stop coming and donating money.

I go to the news section to see news. Period. If I want some of Rizzuh's often funny sarcasm, I read editorials and articles. Hey, it's often funny. I go to comments to read people's opinions, both ignorant and insightful. Those are what I've come to expect here on this comments section. Point is I used to find what I wanted easily, and not have to read rants when I just wanted news.

This rant wasn't something I wanted to see, in case you, Nighthawk, are too stupid to realize. This wasn't news; it was an outright slam of CSR. I didn't want to read that. I knew CSR was garbage; why should I have to go scrolling down to find the next news article when it could have easily been posted somewhere else.

Imagine turning on the major network news at night, and hearing Tom Brokaw slamming George W. Bush's policy on Iraq for even 1 minute. I might even be inclined to agree with the view stated, but that's NOT why I tuned into the news. In that case, that program wasted my time, and has now ceased to be a valuable source of the info I want. I'd tune into someone else's news program instead, just as NBC would have the right to continue running their news programs like that.

I see this site moving more in putting these kinds of rants in the news section. I rarely found them before, and I really valued the central location of all news CS related, so much so I contributed money to the site, just as a way of saying thanks for all those on this site do. I'm supposedly a "nationalist", but I don't use any of the extra benefits of being one, because I don't care. Not sure if my account even reflects that I am honestly. But now I see these rants here and there, and they're increasing, although slowly. This site is losing it's appeal for me because of that. If those who run the site want to do this kind of thing, good for them. I suspect many of the "nationalists" are probably a little older, and a little wiser, and perhaps feel as I do that these rants where not appropriate detract from the valuable content that is here. Maybe I'm in the minority, who knows? I at least wanted those who run this site to know at least one of their paying members doesn't appreciate this crap, even when I do agree with the opinion presented.

Why don't you get off your ass and do a radio show with all this top of the line news? Hmm...thought so.
Off my ass? Hahaha, because I don't do anything otherwise.

I don't want to do a radio program. I never claimed I could do one better. In fact I know I couldn't, but that's like asking someone to make their own country instead of protesting Bush.

Okay this has been addressed dozens of times already. I can see your point.

alright, i've been involved in csr for a while now, and to me, it wasnt just a show every weekend or so, it was a community. i didnt care much about the show, i just enjoyed posting on the website, and seeing peoples ideas on 9/11 or michael jackson hanging his baby out a window, or how funny a certain website is.

i do not like what is going on in these posts. what many csr people are saying is... if you dont like the show, dont listen to it, and dont comment on it. and then these same people are now bad mouthing csnation. csr is doing the same thing that we are telling others not to do. and it should stop

i also agree that you do not bash a service to the community, when it is ending, it's just not right.

van and steve did not quit because there is no news. shit... 1.6 is soon to come and there have been updates to the beta. they simple were no longer playing cs and they werent being paid either. why would you waste an hour of your time if you didnt enjoy it, and were not benefitting in any way. we had gotten down to 2 shows a month or less... we have rarely actually had 2 in a row...

i think csnation is actually a decent cs news site. i love the pictures of the day. some of the editorials written about sniping or how cs is gay, are very funny, even if they didnt originate on csn, i wouldnt have heard about them anyway...

also, i do believe that half the people out there dont give a shit about cpl, i only know one person online who is actually in the game, and why would i want to watch a match when i could just play the game, however some people want to see strategies, etc... but that's not me, and i dont feel that that is most people.

so what is csr to me. csr to me is a group of people who post online and make each other laugh due to witty posts and ideas. sure, the show is bland at times. i dont even listen to half of them. but csr means something to many people and it should not be bashed at a time like this

rizzuh, would you maintain this site if you were not getting a steady cash flow from advertisers?

See, the problem there is...I don't have a site that people look at. Therefore, it doesn't mean jackshit to me if you guys like me or not...but it doesn't matter what I say, because you guys hate all CSR.
It doesn't matter what you say because you're being an idiot.

As someone who has listened to every single CSR show and been with Counter-Strike Radio for close to two years, I find it sickening the level of immature remarks being thrown out here.
That's kinda neat how you made everything after the comma conflict with everything before it.
Well I would hope this biased news post is nothing but sarcasm, Rizzuh. Despite your relatively tame remarks, the avid comment posters here have nothing more to say than "CSR sucks!!!". Just the kind of immature comments that none of us CSR regulars ever use.
Oh, Absolutely. CSR regulars are the polar opposite in that they usually have nothing more to say than "CSR RULEZ!!!".
The greatest part of CSR is the community, and the community is binded by the show.
Ok, you know what? The greatest part of the CSR community is that they only mattered to themselves. That community is binded by the ability to be utterly worthless with other people who were completely unaware of how utterly worthless THEY are. The CSR community did FUCK ALL save for jerking themselves off constantly with hyperbole about the quality of the show and its community. Nothing more than typical gang mentality HORSESHIT.

"Oh, wah fucking wah, i used to respect Rizzuh as a journalist for god knows what reason, but now he's pond scum for posting a CLEARLY SEPARATED OPINION that doesn't stroke our ego! Hey, am i exaggerating enough yet?"

                "Not yet."

"Man. What can i do to make [CSR] look like bigger jackasses than everyone already knows them to be? Hey, i'll blame Rizzuh for doing what ThatHurt did EVERY FUCKING WEEK!"
                vamp[CSR] wrote..

i have a feeling that this little conflict among CSR and CSN will go on for weeks to come. i simply cannot understand why two very popular fansites who share several things in common (especially their devotion for a multiplayer game which is why they both have websites recieving thousands of hits daily) are fighting.
Probably has something to do with [CSR]s coming out of the woodwork to make up for the fact that any single one of them can't say anything beyond "But...but...you're biased because you didn't say what i want you to!". Not a big mystery, Sherlock.

I believe Steve didn't care about getting paid or not, he liked doing a radio show and fully intends to start up a everquest radio show in about a month.

First, grow up. Use your fukin brain. CSR was not selfish. They donated a show to the whole community. If you didnt like it you wouldnt listen. Big fukin deal. Just cause your not intelligent enough to do something for the community doesnt give you the right to bash. CSR is not a gang were a guild. We never fuk with anyone except for people that bash us. Its ignorent and stupid what you people have turned cs-nation into. A bunch of fuckin stupid opinions that does not matter. So go fuck yourself rizzuh for being ignorent to a community that you get your work from. CS-Central will be my news source from now on. At least there not based on Opinion.

Perhaps if you read what he actually said:
The greatest part of the CSR community is that they only mattered to themselves
He's saying the community was worthless, not the show.
