Am I the only one whose Half Life saves screenshots as TGA files? Apparently so.

A girl I knew used to make cookies, and one day when I was over at her place she made some cookies for me. The way she did it was she stacked the cookie trays--had her dad drill some screws up through one tray so that the other could rest atop it. Then a few weeks later I saw two girls on TV that actually made a multi-tiered cookie rack thing and marketed it. I told my friend that she should sue for copyright infringement....or intellectual property violation...whatever the hell it is. I tried to read the US Copyright legislation but it's something like 5 MB in a .TXT file.
You can make two batches of cookies with one over, just put one on the top shelf and another on the bottom. I guess if you have only one shelf you could use really small trays, and put one on one half and the other on the other! Problem solved!
This little story reminded me to find a picture of me on my hard drive, convert it to a BMP, and then try to use PSP7 to batch process it. I haven't figured it out yet.Comment

I've been using Paint Shop Pro to do this for quite some time now, only annoying aspect being that the numbering restarts every time, so I have to put them in different subdirectories to keep from overwriting old screenshots. If this sucker could continue the naming scheme when it converted the files (increase the numbering)... I'd definitely be using it.
For the guys getting .tga files... have you tried both the F5 and "printscreen" keys and gotten the same thing? Only other thing I can say is you might just download a free image program to do the conversions/viewing of .tga files... not really hard.Comment

ok being really dumb, but is there like a console command or some such which can lower the amount of fps that geekplayer converts files to demo, I cant having a super slick 75-100fps computer, so my demos are blooming massive. In addition,. I can force the fps to 60, the visul limit, finew, Howe4ver In conversion I would be happy with 35-45 fps, thus cutting the file sizes right down, If im completely barking up the wrong tree let me know. It is related to this topic, cos I may use this programme to batch convert em to jpgs, for use in video mach or premiere...
Anyways, jut a questionComment

Hmmm, screenshots. I once tried to write an alias which would take an screenshot every time I fired, so I could "analyze" my aim... It turned out that my comp/hd was too slow to store about ten 1024x768x32 tga's per minute. That was the last time I found any sense in taking screenshots. Not that I want to put down anyone related to the potd
He Hobbes, how much a time per week do you spend to create new avatars?Comment

ok, lets put it this way, is there a way that this programme could be bolted on to the geekboy demo movie feature to thus create the movie inspae saving jpgs inthe first place then? so instead of startmovie producing around 4gb of bmps for 2mins of film, it would produce much less in jpg? or do i have to go throught he rigmarole of doing it in bmp first then converting it, ?
I AM LAZY; but hopefully an inspiration to those of you who have the abilities to solve these problemsComment

Please tell me that THIS is not the current state-of-the-art method to convert a demo to a movie... ?!? Sounds like a job for Disk2 *g*
