There are 2 reasons PCs dominate consoles.
The first reason PCs dominate is just replayability. With mod authors and map creators and just people hacking the damn game, the fun never stops. Like Half-Life or Quake 3, these games have gone way past traditional DM that has come with their retail boxes. If you can't addon to your game then you might as well play consoles.
The other reason PCs are so great is because of the multiplayer features we have become accustomed to. Shit personally I wouldn't play games unless they were multiplayer. When i go Half-Life I got near the end of the game and I was very bored of reloading the same area to figure out some stupid puzzle. So I just said fuck it and I loaded up HL DM. When I first played HL DM i had loads of fun cussing people out and calling people assholes and campers. Now if it was just a bunch of computers running around... there's no interaction or socializing. These things just makes games more fun... which is why i choose the PC.
