KIAFC just started, I'll see what I can do about a website (or something..). If someone wants to help me out with that, I'm not too spiffy at website design, it'd be great.

New VAC

Once again, VALVe has updated their security modules to catch those new cheats. Not only did they add more cheats to the list, but added some optimizations to help the poor souls with slower computers.[break="Eric Smith's e-mail"]We've updated the public security modules again. These security modules have some optimizations to help reduce the impact on clients' machines.



Your Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat servers should update themselves automatically. Let me know if you have any problems with these security modules and we'll look into them right away.

New VAC

Eric Smith of Valve Software has posted a notice about update an updated VAC module being sent out as we speak.

We've updated the public security modules again. Your Counter-Strike servers should update themselves automatically. If you find your servers are suddenly having problems, try restarting them.



These modules are being released to prepare for the pending Day of Defeat 3.1 release. Day of Defeat 3.1 will use the Valve anti-cheat security modules just like Counter-Strike. We're getting Team Fortress Classic (TFC), Half-Life Deathmatch (HLDM), and Deathmatch Classic (DMC) ready to use the security modules as well.



We're still gathering information on detected cheaters, so you'll see outgoing traffic to: 205.158.143.67:27013.

No word if it includes the new method of disabling wallhacks that we previewed last week.



As always, CS-Nation strongly recommends that all CS servers be restarted. CAL-i clans should get their servers restarted ASAP.



Update: Logikal has informed me that the wallhack block mentioned above isn't in this version of the VAC module.
