Just to clarify:



The magazine does say "Here are the weapons; some are new and some are old" It does NOT SHOW: MP5, AK-47, Steyr Aug, TMP, Glock 18, P-228, FiveseveN, Dual Elites, MAC-10, UMP-45, AWP, Scout, Para M-249, XM1014 Shotgun, not to mention greandes, flashes, riot shield, defuse kit, night vision. The magazine only shows 12 seapons, and there is like 25 in CS. I think it is safe to say Game Informer is not very informative, because Counter-Strike isn't Counter-Strike without the AK-47 and AWP!

Exclusive? Yah right.. CS 1.6 already has 3 2 - b i t , the reason they say exclusive is that 24 bit is crap on the comp, everything else is included in CS:CZ

You moron. You can run CS in 32-bit color, yes, but the textures are still 8-bit. The 32-bit color lets you see a lot of different 8-bit color schemes, but ultimately each seperate texture is limited to roughly 250 unique colors. There's a lot of weapon modelers that would love to have 24-bit textures available in CS, and the same is probably true of mappers.

Just because you press and hold down doesn't make them automatic. If the real life trigger was like that, then yeah. However, given the time delay between shots, you can very safely assume that it's not automatic, as automatic weapons simply don't have that slow of a cyclic rate.



To back this up, let's look at the actual guns:

Sig 550 sniper (Switzerland)

Caliber: 5.56mm NATO (.223 Rem)

Action: Gas, semi-auto

and next...

Heckler & Koch G3-SG1 sniper rifle (Germany)

Caliber: 7.62 x 51mm NATO (.308 Win)

Action: Semi-automatic, roller-delayed blowback

Smack! They're Semi-automatic sniper rifles. CS just controls the time inbetween your trigger pulls (to limit the effectiveness of the gun), but you're still pulling the trigger each time.

Yea, I've seen some other pics of CSX with the characters holding Colts, AWPS, shotguns, ect.

is a version of the ak-47 (automatic kalashnikov model 47) it appears to be the sub-machinegun version without the stock this also means that it fires 9mm ammo with horrible accuracy, if it is our beloved ak-47 with metal and a folding stock it will thankfully fire 7.62mm NATO rounds with better than average accuracy ... yes i know that u were just sayin that it wasnt in the mag pic but I DONT CARE

btw about the 24 bit textures.... werent they gonna upgrade the textures for cz? i heard that we were gettin 32 bits with the 8bit transparency .... [damnit THIS is why im a proggie leave the coloring crap to the grafix artists] well as long as we have steam and the [X] doesnt we will constantly have upgrades to ...... everything hopefully steam will stop sucking before pub-rel cuz it still sucks @$$



oh yeah ... since nighthawk seems to be good with weaps, and i am now (hopefully) off his hitlist would ya mind lookin at the ak?
