someone mentioned 24-bit looks worse than 32-bit? well tell u what, both look exactly the same.



24bit has 8 bit RGB

32bit has 8 bit per R, G or B channel as well,

except 32 bit has an extra 8 bits for transparency.

in terms of colour depth, both are exactly the same.

its just 32bits is easier to process from a hardware point of view, than 24bits. by easier i mean, less redundancy like with 24bit processing of colour depth.

and my opinion on CS going to xbox is:

i guess MS and VALVE will do anything to make some extra money, it is what keeps the world going after all. But if someone was truly serious about playing CS on a PC, the way its meant to be played (no pun intended for NVIDIA fans btw), one would purchase a reasonable computer for playing CS on (athlon 1ghz + gf2 mx card + 256mb ram), im sure this will cost similar to an Xbox, maybe slightly more, but for a true CS gaming experience.

xbox is probably the worst system ever created and i love buying weapons manually.....

they will probably remake dust and put the "bridge" more level with everyhting else.... this will ruin dust!!

I think it's also a safe bet they didn't remove dust, dust2, the ability to walk, the abillity to shoot, or the colt.

dust2 won't be in csx because gamehelper.com has the copyright to that map or something (thats why it isn't included with retail cs)

Hurray, another Timesplitters fan! Heh, sure, the game doesn't have much going in the single player department but it's my favorite console FPS. So fast too, a nice change of speed for a console FPS.

and about the X-Box - the thing you've also gotta remember is that PC's and Consoles are brought for different reasons. I love PCs cos I love having the flexibility, but a lot of people just want to be able to buy any game from any shop and have it work in their system without any messing.

Buying guns will be just like when you first started playing counter-strike.. it'll be slow up until you get used to it. Its just like anything else, like making eggs or masturbating, awkward at first but you have to practice at it to get better!



Reguarding the joke about "best" PC team vs. "best" csx team, it all depends on what platform they are playing on.. as you can see csx will be based more on horizontal maps while the pc team will.. not heh.



I'm confused why VAC is going to be doing the kicking of idlers.. Its not like by idling you are cheating, but whatevers easiest I guess.
