CS 1.6B Update

Hmmz. I managed to launch CS :O and make a game with bots. But as soon as I selected either CT or T the game promptly crashed. So i reboot and now Steam wont load up! Yippee!

steam was originaly leaked when the b4 beta realese was held cuz someone who was in the testing team made a copy of the .exe file and exploited it. If it wasn't for that we would all probaly be subscribed to fileshack mercury by now

just played it a bit, looks nice.



the knife is a little weird, i like the old one better.



the galil is no longer a super cheap AK with 35 bullets, I like the way it is now.



the shield seems te work better, altough I still get hit sometimes when I strafe, but it might be because the shield moves to your side when you strafe. donno for sure.



the rain in aztec does hit my fps a bit, but far from as much as the ping I get does.



And I like the new sounds too,

But if your talking about getting headshoted when strafing with shield on, I guess the head part just sticks out a little bit when you move, and the bullet will *sometimes* hit that tiny wenny part of the head exposed on the top of the shield. No I'm talking about even when holding crouch and walk then strafing, you hardly move at all and no parts are exposed, but the bullets go through as long as the strafe keys are pressed. Even just tapping the strafe keys will make the shield stop blocking in those moments. Just test it against the bots and you will see the problem, which has been present throughout the beta.

well, from what i've seen even if you crouch and then strafe, the shield moves aside quit a bit, it does show bodyparts.

Try it when they are firing automatics or AWPs at your shield. Sit there and let it block then tap strafe and the shield will not block.

if i want to make a dedicated server in 1.6 i can, but then when i load up my 1.5 dedicated server, steam overrides it with the "server tool" and i dont want that, i unsubscribed to dedicated server on steam and still overrides... i DELETED steam and still overrides WTF



.. so i did a system restore till when i had steam uninstalled :d ... anyone know how to fix this tho?

Probably better that they be off right now since the servers don't need anymore work. They already lag without them.

well, I haven't had the problem yet, but i'll look into it. I did get shot when i strafe with the shield, but when I stand still nothing goes through.

I played cs1.6b thru steam today in the morning but when i try to play now the steam client doesn't even show up on my systray (bottom right of taskbar) and if i try to open it again it says "steam is already running". go fucking figure.

I had the same prob. Reinstall and everything should work just fine! At least the downloading part

Just go ctrl+alt+delete, find the steam.exe process and close it. Then just run Steam again.
