Yes, i tried that too before I posted and it didn't work. When i restart the same thing happens again.

It works! But it's not really fluid. The Bots seem to take a few cpu cycles... (Duron700 / GeForce2 / 800x600 {textures look crappy} / 9 Bots {impressive behaviour} / Aztec / cl_weather 0) And it really feels different. Hmm.

i uninstalled steam, and reinstalled it now it works, but it updates REALLY slow, guess the netowrk is being heavily used

just prepare for a loooong download again :) it worked for me at least but there's no harm in reinstalling really. That way, we'll all have something to do in the meantime as VALVe tries to fix the issues

But.. How do i make it JUST ME AND MY BOTS?? Everhbody keeps joining from the Internet and I dont want it, my PC is not a server!

make it a private server put a pw and u will be fine or make it a lan..

Thats the problem, I dont know how to make it a LAN! Its not immediately obvious and I typed in

password "pleasedontjoin" but it didnt work. Is that the wrong format?

hahah! Someone joined my 'server', after passwording it. I watched him for a bit (owned him 26-2) then his ping went up to 2622 after sme other guy joined and I clsoed the server!

Yeah, I wanted to make a server with me as ct vs 10 t bots. In less than one minute I had 7 people connected. In a few more minutes I was over 14 connected. Same thing lastnight too, lol.

everytime i try to load up cs it has a stupid bug where the screen goes a trippy and i can only see 3/4 of the cs splash screen. and to add to that its laggy as hell on my dual p3's (599) mhz ouch!



i know i can fix the framerate issues myself by buying a new comp but i need to know how to fix my resoloution properties!

Before I say this, I'll state upfront, I don't have Steam, and I no nothing 'bout nothing. But can't you start up a game and just pull out your network cable? Or do you need to be constantly online for 1.6 to work?
