well i got to play aztec with fancy weather effects. looks good, does lower fps true, but if you play in 16-bit colour mode (the way cs is meant to be played) you wont notice such a big drop in frame rate.

another thing, the radio text is GIANORMOUS. (thats gigantic and enormous together :P ). is this a bug?

de_dust doesnt want to load (which can only be a good sign in my opinion). that map is so overplayed, it wont even load. lol

dammit now i have reinstall steam and downloading CS guess my time left??? 550 minutes ! ! ! and it was 17 minutes 5 hours ago

de_survivor doesnt run at 4fps like someone said, it runs fine just like in older cs, just play in 16 bit colour depth.



hl.exe seems to be causing memory leaks, its using over 200MB system ram when it locks up. ouch. (not to mention another 250MB virtual memory)

while the sounds for the projectiles were alittle sandy



PS. the knife model for the shield is still shown as the old one :)

oh yeah, i like the new ricochet sounds.

hopefully valve have increased the amount of simulatenous sound channels in CS.

hmm, I ahve updated to platform and steam 4 n 10, but then I cannot connect to cs, I have clicked onto the games section, which seems ot autohighlight, do NOT update automatically, and it says the game needs updating, ANd is 400mb on hd, THen WHen I finally get he tab to go to update automatically, It says No need to update!'

¨Ridiculous in my humble opinion.

It seems like it wants to do somehting, I have the cruddy 'monitor' which just highlights how steam doesnt seem like it will be ready for CS2 and HL2 both having been touted as steam releases....

The updates are nice, but cpu bots? not waypointed ones. woulnd't that be a right bi*ch for low end users, then again they dont have to use them, the rain on aztec is sweeeeet really adds atmosphere, bloody nice overhaul of the map narby!



As mentioned the knife model (when using the shield is the same, and the new knife model is um, interesting, spec forces wouldn't be issued with that pile of sh*t



They are issued with blanked carbon steel combat knives, the original was good (not that accurate but good..



back to the old knife at least it doesn't look like a 3 year old got crayons and drew all over the blade!

Mine started auto-updating CS almost immediately after it had uploaded Steam etc. The download is sloooooooow! It started at around 400 minutes. That was like 3 hours ago. Now it says it's 120 minutes left. I'm on a goddamn ADSL 0.5 MBit over here! come on



And have you noticed that new Monitor feature? Over here it says that Steam isn't upgrading anything, yet it IS And like every 2 seconds it updates the text so it says that it's upgrading CS. This text disappear so fast that I can't make out everything it says. Apparently, it's a loooong way left until 1.6 can be released as NON-beta...

ahhh I have no way of knowing weather its doing anything, I try to launch cs, and it says preparing to launch, but I see no traffic in my connection icon...Another reinstall.. or just lackj of bw on steams behalf?
