Yes linking to Fileshack is okay but linking to sites that have gotten Steam through the wrong channels are not. That's because VALVe withdrew Steam. They specifically told people NOT to post links I believe.

I got in last night at 11:30 - no problem.

The bots are bad ass! They seemed to be messing with each other and taunting each other with the way they were playing...eg jumping up and down on the bomb till there was just enough time left to defuse it. Piranisi was awesome - they kept falling off the roof. They seem to have a bunch of different tactics as T for aztec, and they would set up some great perimeters around a dropped bomb as CT.

All the new sounds DONT make me grit my teeth...yay

I like the new knife - sorta :X

aztec actually feels like a rain forest for the first time

I wish everyone would stop griping about it - I like steam - it's doing a great job of satisfying the "don't mess with it" folks and the "we need update NOOOOOW" people.



Does anyone know if these bots are THE new 'learning' kind mentioned in earlier CZ reviews??

i love the bots, it's really neat... they just gotta the dam objectives tho ( defend bombsite ) ....



- the knife is for the jungle, ew.

- the rain lowers my fps, so i turn it off.

- steam is unstable

if i want to make a dedicated server in 1.6 i can, but then when i load up my 1.5 dedicated server, steam overrides it with the "server tool" and i dont want that, i unsubscribed to dedicated server on steam and still overrides... i DELETED steam and still overrides WTF



.. so i did a system restore till when i had steam uninstalled :d ... anyone know how to fix this tho?

yes they are, and they are by far the best bots i have seen for CS and i was on the realbot team.

I think I have the update but its weird. My Porperties of COunter-Streike say i do, and I have to moniter tool listed in the updates. But then I look at the moniter, it starts downloading, with 2 yellow bars then stops. Then 10 or so seconds later it starts again.



And when I try and run a game it says staring Counter-strike.... for ever.

now Steam isn't even coming up when I open it, it just sits there and when I try to open another it says "Steam is currently running". So I have to ctrl+alt+del - the Steam.exe process and try again.

RaptorRage, when you move around with your shield on, some of your body part will be exposed out of the shield protection, and all they have to do is to shoot that part.



But if your talking about getting headshoted when strafing with shield on, I guess the head part just sticks out a little bit when you move, and the bullet will *sometimes* hit that tiny wenny part of the head exposed on the top of the shield. If you swear it's not that, then I don't know what to say except that the person might be cheating, although it might be very unlikely

tbh I don't give a flying f*** how 1.6 turns out - crappy servers, bad knives, good/bad bots, bugs/glitches, FPS-lagging rain or not (okay so I care about the rain thing, my lame-o intergrated graphic card has enough trouble just doing thunder and lightning in de_aztec). So long as it's fun to play, right? Oh, and so long as it won't take more then five minutes to put all my old gun models back in..... *hopes me hasn't jinxed it*..... anyway, we all know that no matter what, we'll all get the proper version of 1.6 when it's out, we'll all play it regardless of how it is.... so why bother worrying about it, or even thinking about it for that matter? I say ignore Steam or whatever, stop worrying about not being able to get the latest update or what-have-you, and just wait for the proper release, then get it then.

My only gripe with the bots is that their weapon buying seems to be completely random - they almost never seem to get colts/AKs.



Also, is it just me - or are the autosnipers better?!?!

I got to play CS1.6b right as it came out the other day. But now today I can't even open Steam for some reason. I want to play it again and play a map OTHER than aztec. Cuz every single server was playing aztec (no offense narby, its a good map but I wanted to play others) :)

I dont know why people think it can only be downloaded from Fileshack. Valve never said no one could link to it. People like to make things up :/
