VAC Updated

I'm suprised they're actually pumping these updates out effectively. Can't say I was a big Valve fan before VAC. I figured VAC would stick with it the first 2 or 3 updates, then slack off and update once every few months

Yea, they all just popped out with ogl hack it wasnt tooooo bad once in a while with ogc 10 it was like 1.3 again.

suprise. isnt everyone supposed to hate valve since they bring us good games and helped cs? the only thing i have against vlalve is release dates

I don't think that's so true. OGC got so deep rooted into 1.3 because there were no restrictions. The first OGC hook for 1.3 worked up until the day 1.4 was released.



VAC kills casual cheats (which is most of them) and prevents hardcore cheaters from having any sort of multihack that works for more than a few days.



Soon, wallhacks will be useless too. VAC is one of the best things Valve has ever done, and their continued support of it is amazing.



If you used to read the CS Crossfire, you know that at one time I was incredibly angry at Valve for their lack of effort at blocking cheats. Well it took them a year and a half, but now their effort is unquestionable.

I don't like the release dates either. But the fact that I don't enjoy any of their games besides Counter-Strike doesn't make me a huge fan.

Well there was just some guy wallhacking in the game I just played. The sooner the wallhack-blocking software is in, the better.

The sooner they dish-out a solid block for wall hacks the better.



Earlier today I'm on this server with a guy who was playing rather suspiciously, shooting before seeing people, following through walls, etc. Usually, I give the benefit of the doubt, thinking perhaps they're just really good at following the audio or something but... this guy even admitted he was seeing through walls. On top of that, he wasn't even very good. He was able to get a lot of cheap kills (he'd always lead the server kill/death ratio), but he was contributing nothing to his team as a whole and we would still be able to swarm him and kill him (he usually used just pistols to add insult to injury so he didn't have much on to counter full on rushes). He had that wonderful myg0t attitude of "I'm pissing you off so I r l337" or whatever.



All this on a server that regularly updates it's VAC. And frankly I don't think the guy is smart enough to be developing his own personal cheats.



I stopped playing CS for almost a year because of the rampant hacks - I'll admit that it's a lot better now, for the most part, but I really hope Valve can get this crap over with.
