I disagree with mugwamp on some areas. Not all people can get faster internet access than 56k. Cable and DSL is not provided all throughout the US. No one ever said they lived in dorms at college. To some people (like me), we are forced to play on 56ks. I'm not gonna brag about how good I am on it because that's just pointless. I'm good enough on it to give some hard competition to lotsa people. I don't see how others on 56ks can't.

CS retail can basically handle like every multiplayer mod. I haven't run into any that hasn't worked. Firearms, TFC, DoD, Opera(sucks), Desert Crisis, Box Wars, Gang Wars, Global Operations, Firearms, etc.

I do relealize that crapola, and for those of you that haven't been able to get broadband, I feel sorry for you because for nearly four years I had to use mindspring dialup. But from our perspective (cable, dsl, and other users), the majority of people in the US and other countries in europe where CS and other online FPSs are popular can get some sort of high speed internet access. FPSs in particular are such demanding games, I still think playing them on a 56k is a fluke, I mean look at all the tweaking guides out there designed to help you get you ping down, you just can't pass enough info through that old copper phone line. Anyway, steam's offical use is still pretty far off (because I doubt we've seen the last of the delays) so hopefully by then all you guys that are serious about cs will have access to broadband.

I personally think it should be removed from the game or the price should be jacked up (A LOT).

Let me explain....

I have noticed that when im say terror in a de_* map and my team is planting the bomb a lot, someone starts camping with the awp.

All this gun does is induce camping.

It stops people from doing their objective, hardly any people are "good" with the awp. Most people think that if they can sit in their base the whole round and get 3/4 frags that they are good.

Not true.

This takes point away from CS.

You know what else is a bitch, is when someone buys an MP5 and goes full auto spray and pray and some how when they're just about to die they manage to get a HS. I have noticed that the MP5 does 40 dmg to someone even if they have head armour. Since when can 9mm go through kevlar.?? and another.... oh fuck it im wasting my time on you shits, not like anything that is posted here will actually influence the CS team.
