I would use the steam server browser if it would save my favorite servers. Everytime I add a server, next time i start up steam and look at the favorites tab...empty. so i use all-seeing eye instead.
I know! Damn! I thought I was the only one who was having this problem. I've had to resort to a post-it full of ip addresses attached to my monitor.

As far as server browsers, all I wish is that you could sort by certain settings (like current number is 15 or less, any more and it's too crowded for me). Or timelimit, I like maps to rotate no faster than, say, 45 minutes or perhaps 45 rounds. Win-limit 10 servers I instantly leave. Rockthevote can be enabled in case it moves to a map nobody likes but otherwise stick with the same map for awhile.

As far as CS Source, I'd be much more interested if I had a computer capable of running it, but my best computer is broke and I don't even know if /it/ can run it.

Meh, CS:S doesn't bother me in the slightest. So far it's done nothing to impress me. I'm not going to get at all excited about it until I actually play it. Pretty graphics, exciting teaser videos and promises of a better game are all nice, but the real test is in the gameplay itself, and until I can actually play it, and until the gameplay blows me away, I'm going to continue to not be that fussed about CS:S.

And why don't they just call it CS2?

          because it isnt cs2?

cs2 will be a completed reworked cs. this is just a port.

blah blah... for them to sort out the overly bent over character models and the weapon skins.
I think it cool , its more realistic, if u look at the body poses of real special ops, just slightly bend over is better for aim and less exposure... check raven shield,

not an action game like cs but the models and weapons are full of "realistic" details... and they all go around looking like that.

Um Mr. Pufftoomuch, I don't think ANYONE thinks that this is just an attempt to "cash in" on the CS name (it comes with HL2, afterall?). Well maybe a random 12 year old or two.

Everybody's looking forward to CS Source (that is, everyone who has a PC that can run it).

Why didn't we use the poll to do a proper count on the shield issue?

Yeah, really? All we need is a poll not 600 comments of "fk valve ban shield plz kthx nubs" and "My word, you children should learn some English! Say, do you have any tea, my good man?".

Honestly you'd be surprised at the number of people out there who believe that everything Valve does somehow equates to "selling out" or somesuch nonsense.

or do you think this will be a flat and uninspired way of selling more copies?
It's a 5 year old game ported to HL2, that took 3 weeks to do. So what do you think?

                        I'll wait for CS2.

I've always used All seeing eye instead of the steam built in.

                          Why?

                          1. You can see the country the server is located

                          2. You can easily filter countries, Ping, Password protected, how many players/empty, continent.. not only that but you can have as many favorites folders as you want, so you can separate server groups from another easily.

In general, its also a lot faster (if u are registered user then it's even faster) plus it has all sorts of handy features such as seeing how much time left on the server before mapchange, amount of public slots, and being able to see all of the server settings as well as control a server via rcon..

as long as steam is missing these important features i will never use it :)

i want <25ms on steam!!! when i put all the filters on plus only looking for de maps, i still get almost 200 servers. plus there definitely should be more specific region filters. im sick of accidentally playing with germans (jk). im going to buy a 9800pro for hl2 in about a month. they kick buttocks and they are so cheap compared to the latest cards.

honestly, whether they called it cs2 to begin with, or cs:s, you would agree with whatever cliffe decided to go with. we all would.

<3 the possibilities of CS: Source. I'm glad it's sticking with the core CS gameplay yet introducing new features thanks to the Source engine. It's going to be amazing for sure.

From someone who plays CS on a daily basis, I'm certainly looking forward to the Source port
