While you are off getting fragged, the slower buyer gets to kill the person who fragged you, so in the end, it depends on ping.

I can press b-4-3 b-8-2 b-8-4 b-6 really really fast, but servers usually lag too much for it to be worthwhile. Hence, I use scripts, but only because I can't STAND buying the wrong thing by accident.

I really prefer Rizzuhs...I used to use Nextwish's...but he did something and I moved over to Rze's...ah well no matter. Its practically the same thing.



The reason why I use scripts is because in scrims/matchs I sometimes have to buy for another person on my team. If I can just press a single button, we don't get screwed over. If I relied on buy menu skills, we'd be stuck at spawn and the T's/CT's would get a big jump on us.

ive never needed to use scripts of any kind and for some weird reason im always out of the buy zone first.

youre saying it takes u less than a second to buy all your stuff. but so what? freezetime is usually 3 secs, and i happily buy all my stuff in 3 secs or within freezetime. so what if u can buy all your stuff in a microsecond. u cannot move out of the buy zone anyways. and if i messed up the keys, i keep buying my stuff AS IM RUNNING OUT OF THE SPAWN. ever try doing that? no scripts needed then. add to that i use the VGUI menus. no fast text menu buyingfor me. i guess my hand eye coordination seems better than most of ppl out there. whatever suits you.



so for me typical buying goes like this:

buy primary, (yes i click through the menus really fast)

buy secondary (if needed),

freezetime is finished,

start running,

as im running i buy any primary/secondary ammo,

then any nades i might need,

all on the run.



so while my buying takes about 5 secs, i dont lose any speed, because i buy any extra items while im running.

ive used this method ever since starting playing cs during the betas. and stuck with it ever since. i didnt give into the pressure of learning to use buy scripts, i put the effort into learning how to do without.

execclient is when an admin executes commands on your client - not your client config - with it an admin can change your config or shut down your cs ect...

buy scripts are great in scrims/matches when you need to quickly toss a gun over to a pal, not to mention the 1.6 buy menu changes messed up manual buying for good.



A lot of pubs have no freeze time, and the only way to get to the choke points before the other team is to buy your crap while running.

I buy with a script while moving from the spawn point. And my fingers don't have to race across the keyboard while I'm racing to choke points in game because I only have to press 2 buttons (q for my kevlar+helm+p90+2clips, alt for my nade+defuse kit)



Besides, if your fingers are not quick enough you might run out of the buy zone while you're still buying and you have to turn back.



And, most of all, it feels great when I catch a bunch of Ts running with their knives out from T spawn on dust2 in public servers with no freeze time. I like how they call me a speedhack afterwards.

I only use scripts because instead of pressing b41 b82 etc.. I can get an m4/ak, deagle, full armour, full ammo, and HE just by pressing on the numpad: 7 1 0 3. I have all the other guns I like bound there too. And to heck with scrolling the mouse wheel looking for shit, mousewheel up = primary gun. mousewheel down = pistol. mousebutton 4 = knife, mousebutton 5 = nades. too easy, and way to fucking lazy.

You can have your way of playing, but what about letting the rest of us have ours. Just because you think it's more fun to script the game, some of us might prefer not to. And I can't really see why people think they're better players because they know how to write weird things in textfiles. I mean, am I supposed to respect you because you're a 1337 s<|21pt4h? What happened to skill?

/me uses CPL GUI powered by RzE's CS Helper



Not sure if everyone knows but in 1.6 all items have a quick buy form them. ie, bind "KP_INS" "m4a1" will buy you a m4a1.. you don't even need to download aliases or create your own for this.



Basically the only thing I notice now that's extra in the cpl gui besides the custom kb_act.lst is the aliases to go to slot 1 go to slot 2, and the rze vesthelm alias that makes it so if you push the key to buy a vest and helmet and can't afford it, it will buy just the vest.



I don't agree with the aliases that will buy you whole load outs. ie, primary, nades, ammo, vest, ect.. all with 1 key. I like the cpl gui's setup. not to bulky. just the basic's. Thats good enough.



Also, nobody has seemed to mention all the other good aliases out there that arent related to buying. I utilize a demo recording alias as well as a moving recording alias that makes life a ton easier when making movies.

no im not a leet scriptar, I dont script the game, I just use them because they are better than pressing 40 keys to buy 2 things. I mean if you had the choice of walking to the shops or going in the car. lol anyone with a bit of common sence would drive there. (unless your fat like asspennies and need excersise :P)

Xect, 99% of the people download the alias packs. They don't sit there and write weird stuff in a file thinking "I am the leetzor, watch me buy faster then those who use the b key! muhahha". No. Simply put, buy scripts just make your life easier. Using the b key or gui menu's doesn't make you any better of a player. I could use the b key and take forever buying and still get a 5:1 on any pub.
