well hey the aimbots work fantastically, so the netcode must be working for it to hit right :P
I think you'd find that a lot of the issues are server/client related, in terms of ping latency and packetloss rather than a netcode issue...just remember hit prediction, or lack of.
edit: sure I do nickmw915, that's why i'd go there without your referral!
go spam that crap elsewhere.Comment

i must say ive played CS:S and HL2
M online and havent had any problems with netcode or hitboxes in either...since the netcode and hitboxes are the same for me as they are for everyone else, ill just assume that:
1. Your computers arent good enough to run CS:S smoothly online
2. Youre playing on badly setup servers with lots of packet loss and choke
3. Your home network/internet connection is fucked up with spyware, malware, virii or god knows what else...
Not to mention 4. you probably have never defragged your HDD or run Windows Update in your lives.
if you have problems with the netcode just go here and quit bitchin cos its your fault your computer is so goddam messed up:
http://steampowered.custhelp.com/cgi-bi...hfdGV4dD1sYWc*&p_li=&p_topview=1
and then here to clean out your infested hard drive. what do you expect stealing all that copyrighted material from limewire, kazaa bit torrent or whatever etc. its full of spyware!
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s...hreadid=76462
Finally I think this is a really good quote from Steam Support:
If you've checked all that, you have a lean clean fighting machine, you can play the single-player game like gang busters, your internet is zippy and yet you STILL have weird lag, well then you need to get some assistance.
If you have a friend with a good setup and he doesn't have any problems, take your computer over there for a day and have him bring his over to your house for a day ... does the problem follow your computer over to his house? Is he suddenly having problems on your connection?
Isolate the possible problem areas and figure out what is causing the problem.
stop moaning. you play pc games what do you expect. its an open machine, not a console. everything wont always work all the time.
addendum:
a funny thing about these spyware producing companies, is that not only do they make software which has no REAL uninstaller included, they are also supported by the major Wall St. Investment Banks... Comcast for example is supported by Venture Capital from Lehman Brothers, who my friend works for. My bank also supports a lot of these companies. The funniest thing is that we also fund companies who are researching products which block spyware. So whoever wins we get rich. Yet here I am - helping you dullards.
ha ha ha. thats all i have to say.Comment

Sorry kid, that's not how this sort of thing works. I don't have to prove something isn't broken, you have to prove that it is broken. Nice try though.

pff, what's all this bs about?
I've never had any problems with the hitboxes in CSS, and neither have any of the other computers in my house. We've got 4 computers and they all work fine on a 1mb dsl connection. Once in a while things will get laggy, but that's because of my video card, which is an old geforce3 ti200...
It's too bad most people don't have the sense to realize that they're the problem. Everyone is just so quick to put the blame on someone else.
But what do you expect from a bunch of bratty 12-17 year old kids, who obviously weren't brought up with any amount of proper parenting?Comment

That was me that emailed cliffe. Since I never got a reply back, I'll post what was said:
I'd appreciate if you'd cut the arrogant nonsense. The
adoption rate of 1.6 --> Source speaks a lot louder than some negative person on a message board. - Jess Cliffe (note: I was talking about clans adopting CSS which hasn't happened. Instead he referred to pubbers, who for the most part, suck.)
That's it. I gave him this lengthy reply full of questions and research and got nothing back. So yeah, whatever. Less and less people will play the game and it will die its slow death because they decided to never address the netcode/hitbox issues. Whatever. There will be better games soon. I tried to help. I love cs and would rather it not die. Also, if you think its my hardware or aim or I am a nub or some other idiotic comeback, fuck off in advance. I go by Shooty McStabbyface and I will own you. If you think there is no hitbox/netcode issue, you're dreaming. Fix the goddamn game. Til then see you in the 1.6 servers!!!Comment

so i'm arrogant.
but you say people who are pubbers 'suck'
no, you're not arrogant.
ladies and gentlemen - witness "Shooty McStabbyface"
he will pwn yuo in spite of netcode and hitbox issues.
care to explain why i have no netcode issues yet we both run the same game with the same code?Comment
