hey rabid i have applied like 3 times, and I have gotten no reply from valve, I am on a T1, so I definately think my connnection is fast enough. How would i go about getting to be a beta tester? The way they say its the first stage in their anti-cheat system doesnt sound comforting as if its a beta for example paladin that got hacked in a few days!

a big fuckout to all the cheaters and the beta testers that have been trusted to test the beta and have give it to other ppl that should not have it...

Tizodd, more keys will be sent out this week so if you email us, you will get included. I've already received quite a few requests with "STEAM BETA" in the topic like I asked. Those are getting keys in the next couple days.



Killer - We may not ever completely get rid of the cheaters, but we're going to make it very difficult for them...



gobd - one last thing, re-read my post, you'll see that we're going to allow Steam and non-Steam folks to play against each other soon...

I suspect there are limited spaces, so not everyone will get in. I hope he puts high-priority on emails sent from cs-nation, instead of just relating back to the people who signed up via valve's sign up page before xmas.

I've just sent my application. Hope to see how cool CS 1.4 really is. Probably Valve will most likely reject my application due to the fact that I have a really crappy computer!
