  • Twitch Streamer Caught Cheating in CS:GO, Tries to Blame Friend

MissQGemini was a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer on Twitch. I say was because Twitch has already taken action against them after the following events unfolded on a recent Twitch stream.

A video posted yesterday shows the CS:GO player loading up a hotkey activated cheat menu, proceeding to load a custom profile, cheat in CS:GO, and then attempt to blame their friend. Twitch has a zero tolerance policy for streaming cheating in online multiplayer games. This can be found at the bottom of their Community Guidelines.
    Cheating in Online Games
Any activity, such as cheating, hacking, botting, or tampering, that gives the account owner an unfair advantage in an online multiplayer game, is prohibited. This also includes exploiting another broadcaster’s live broadcast in order to harass them in-game, such as stream sniping.

After activating the cheat, you can see that MissQGemini was able to constantly see enemy health bars and model skeletons. First off, this isn't something that is possible in a normal game of CS:GO and secondly, you sure as hell aren't able to see health bars or enemies through walls. There is a good couple of minutes between the first appearance of the cheat UI (within the first few seconds of the video) and when they start to come up with an excuse of blaming a friend (at roughly the 2:16 mark).

As noted, Twitch has already banned the user. As far as a VAC ban is concerned? Well, who knows how long it will take with that system. It could be within a matter of hours, a matter of months, or never.
