The new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U has suffered a few setbacks today. First up is word that the game has been pushed to a 2017 release citing quality concerns. Second is the news that the game is now coming for the Nintendo NX in addition to the Wii U version that was previously announced.
Nintendo stated that the delay is due to a desire to further improve the quality of the game.
This means that Nintendo's holiday offerings are going to be very slim for Wii U owners. Their titles include the critically panned Star Fox Zero, which came out earlier this week, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games coming out in June, and Paper Mario: Color Splash which is still supposedly coming later this year.
