It appears as though YouTube is finally starting to deliver on the promise it made back in June that will allow video creators the ability to upload and play videos at 60 frames per second.
Some new videos uploaded today now play back at a wonderful 60fps, a huge step up to the 29.97fps playback for every single other video. There are a couple of catches, however.
First, you need to use Chrome. This is presumably because of Chrome's much better support for HTML5 video playback. Secondly, you need to watch the videos at resolutions at, or higher, than 720p.
If you have no trouble with either of those requirements, enjoy a few sample videos at 60fps!
