  • DayZ Source Code Allegedly Stolen in Bohemia Interactive Server Hack

This past week, the source code for the standalone version of DayZ was allegedly stolen after an SQL injection gave outside access to Bohemia Interactive's servers. A now removed thread on a hacking forum gave some insight on the information acquired and how it was acquired.

The person claiming responsibility for the hack goes by the name of DevDomo. He released the above screenshot along with two others that seem to indicate his claims are legitimate.

Bohemia Interactive has reportedly confirmed that they "detected an attack" on some of their servers but were unable to confirm what may or may not have been stolen or accessed.

Unfortunately, shortly after the code was stolen both DevDomo and another cheat developer released the PDB tool for DayZ. This tool can apparently open up the doors for new hacks and new hack possibilities for the standalone version of DayZ.
