Dark Souls Developer From Software Acquired by Kadokawa

A Japanese media business, Kadokawa, announced today that they have acquired From Software, the development studio behind the Dark Souls franchise.

From Software, also known for its work on Tenchu and Armored Core will work with Kadokawa Games. The two will assit each other in both development and marketing of games. At present, Kadokawa says that they hope to expand on to new game platforms, reach more markets, and better target digital platforms. All of this will be achieved through the production of new gaming IP's.

Kadokawa Games has published games such as Killer is Dead and Lollipop Chainsaw in Japan.
