Star Citizen Hits $24 Million Milestone - Celebrates with Hornet Sales and Real-Time Graphics Commercial

Crowd funding for Star Citizen recently hit $24 million. To coincide with the milestone, Roberts Space Industries is offering up packages for the Hornet line of ships.

We are very excited to premiere the finished Anvil Aerospace Hornet commercial today, as well as the Hornet brochure. For those that caught a sneak peak of the Hornet commercial at the Citizencon event: you haven’t seen anything yet! The civilian version of the UEE’s venerable F7A Hornet, the F7C Hornet is a dedicated dogfighter capable of tangling with mercenaries, pirates, Vanduul and more.

The above commercial features in-engine footage captured at 4K resolution. The main player in the Hornet line is the F7A variant with three additional civilian variants also available. You can either pick up a Hornet as part of a package (great for those who don't yet own the game yet in any capacity), as an addon ship to your current lineup, or as upgrades to existing ships.

You can read all about the Hornet at the RSI website and pick which package is right for you. The $24 million milestone also means that public transportation systems will be included in the game. The $25 million milestone unlocks an enhanced alpha for owners.
