Xbox One Delayed to 2014 in Eight Countries

Originally slated to be released in 21 markets in November, Microsoft revealed today that eight of those markets will now not be included in the 2013 launch. Those eight countries are all European countries and include Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The remaining 13 countries still include: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand.

The reason for the delay until 2014 for the eight European markets is vague. Microsoft says there were "many factors" for this including but not limited to Xbox One dashboard support, additional voice and languages, and partnerships for special apps in those countries. If you live in any of those countries and have pre-ordered the Xbox One, you will receive a special game packed into their bundles once it finally does come out.

Hmmm, maybe. Or maybe they are rushing a product out the door and those other countries are beta testers?

I dont know if that is an option or not.

At least there's a possibility the TV features (which is like, practically half the console) will be ready day one when the Xbox One releases in those regions. I mean, Microsoft never said how long it'll take until those TV features will be available outside of the United States. So it could be ready by the time they're ready to release the console. Also, Japan was getting lonely in being shafted (not that they liked the Xbox 360) so now they have a few friends to grovel with.
